Join us for a 2.5-hour group boat cruise through the cherished tidal creeks of Charleston, South Carolina. This excursion includes an enlightening hour-long stop on the picturesque Morris Island, giving you the opportunity to explore its untouched beach, collect seashells, search for shark teeth, and admire the historic lighthouse.
During the journey to and from the island, our naturalist captain will provide in-depth insights into the local ecosystems and historical context. Stay attentive as your captain highlights and describes the diverse wildlife you may encounter, such as Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, wading birds, pelicans, sea turtles, and more. This cruise offers a perfect blend of education, adventure, and natural beauty, ensuring a memorable experience for all participants.

Dress for the weather with clothes and shoes that are suitable for beach walking. Comfortable, weather-appropriate attire and sturdy footwear will help you fully enjoy the experience on Morris Island.
Please note there is a stop at Morris Island where travelers can visit for about 45 minutes to an hour. During this time, you can walk around and explore the island. However, this may pose an issue for wheelchair accessibility. Travelers have the option to remain onboard during this stop if they choose.
Restrooms are available before departure. Please note that there are no restrooms available for the duration of the tour.
Please arrive 15 minutes early for departure to check in at the Charleston Outdoor Adventures office. This ensures a smooth and timely start to your adventure.

5.00Amazing. Great company. Great people. George was a fantastic turn guide. We learned so much about the ecosystem and wildlife. Loved walking on Morris Island looking for shells and shark teeth. We found several of both! The lighthouse was so cool. A must do activity. Highly recommend!

5.00Great opportunity to bond with Sons after the holidays and before college starts back up. History, scenery, boats and ferry ride with dolphins. Stayed in a VBRO on Folly Island--quick trip to the city and the fun of being right on the beach.

5.00We were a bit nervous when our uber driver headed down a gravel road, but we shouldn't have worried. The boat was nice and this was a fantastic tour! Chris, our guide, had the perfect mix of knowledge about the ecosystem, animals, and history. He was funny, personable, and great with his boat handling skills. We saw sooo many dolphins. The island was beautiful with amazing shelling. We take many tours and thought this one was top notch! We capped it off with lunch at the Bowen Island Restaurant! Excellent!

5.00I can’t tell you how much my family and I loved this experience. Chris was fantastic! He was incredibly knowledgeable and created such a fun experience for everyone on the trip. He took time to stop along the way on our boat trip to the island, and point out dolphins, birds, and other wildlife. He talked to us about the local ecosystem, sharing fascinating insights into how locals fish, harvest oysters, and catch shrimp. We got to spend ample time on the beach looking for seashells and exploring Morris Island. If you’re looking for something to do that’s outside the city and not touristy, this is a great way to spend an afternoon in nature. Shoutout to Chris’ mom!
