There is a flat pier out to the boat and the boarding ramp is about 30 feet long. Travelers will board on the top deck and there are stairs to the lower level. Restrooms are located on the top deck.

You will get close-up views of the Holy City's most famous and charming sights such as Fort Sumter: One of Charleston's most popular landmarks, where the first shots of the Civil War were fired, USS Yorktown: the famous World War II “Fighting Lady," Confederate and Union army Forts Moultrie and Johnson, St. Michael’s Episcopal Church: A surviver of both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars, whose steeple was painted black so as not to be an easy target, Stately homes on the Battery: Symbols of Southern elegance and perseverance.

You will also see the Cooper River Bridges, including the Arthur Ravenel Jr. Bridge: A state of the art span that accommodates the largest ships in the world and connects downtown Charleston to Mount Pleasant. To add to this wonderful experience, don't be surprised if you see Dolphins skimming the surface of the water and pelicans diving for food.

4.00There is a parking lot literally right across the street. Nothing in the description or in any search regarding close parking mentioned that and I ended up using the free shuttle from the visitors center which almost made me late for the tour. This should definitely be mentioned more prominently. The tour itself was great. Very informative and interesting. I had to move seats to hear the narration but that was because there was a large noisy extended family which was not at all the fault of the tour. I did really enjoy it but had some anxiety over the commute as a solo women traveler. Wish the parking info had been clearer.

5.00We were a group of 5 women celebrating a college reunion weekend and thoroughly enjoyed our sunset cruise. The refreshments offered were high quality and the captain and crew were super friendly and informative. Great tour of the harbor with beautiful views on a truly beautiful old sailing vessel.

5.00Perfect way to see the city from a usual view point. The trip around the harbor was delightful and the ship’s crew courteous and helpful. Learned a great deal bout Charleston in a quick trip around the bay. Loved it
