Amazing views of an ancient canyon impress all the visitors. You will have free time at the so called Valley of Castles to walk along the bottom of the canyon with natural stone sculptures on both sides.

We had a great experience doing this tour with Nursultan, our guide for the days in Almaty. The Charyn Canyon is a very beautiful and huge place, a little bit far from Almaty, but perfectly suitable for a day trip. I was with my wife and kids (7 and 3 years old) and we do recommend it! Don't forget to take your flip-flops and swimsuits, because the water is very inviting in the end of the track.

Bring enough water. The trip to the canyon takes a certain amount of time. It was good that we had a private tour and did not have to squeeze into a Japanese minibus. These are made full on the cheaper tours. We wanted to do the tour with Pandatravel in a Mercedes Sprinter. The tour was overbooked. People who had paid less were packed into the good buses. Absolute chaos. Everything worked great here. Our guide was unfortunately a bit late, but he made up for it with the tour.

The canyon itself is a beautiful spot. The guide was great, well prepared and knowledgeable and made the drive back and forth interesting with commentary and stops along the way. There is a bit of walking and stairs involved at one point.

Had a blast at Charyn Canyon! The landscape was epic and my guide Nur was super nice and professional. We spent a good 5 hours in the national park and pretty much hit all the viewing spots. Nur also brought water, fruit and tea so we had a nice picnic by the river. Amazing experience that I’d definitely recommend to anyone!

This was a lovely and relaxing one day road trip. Nursultan is an excellent host and comfortable driver who literally went the extra mile to help me locate loca playing cards as a souvenir. The canyon is an excellent place to visit and is a gentle but long stroll with fantastic views.

Nursultan is an awesome guide, group leader and person. With excellent English and local knowledge he went the extra mile for us again and again. I cannot recommend his tours enough.

Excellent Tour. My wife and I really enjoyed the tour as well as the city, Almaty and overall Kazakhstan people. They are very hospitable people, friendly and always ready to help. Our tour guide, Mr. Nur is an excellent guide, very professional, knew his stuff really well. He speak English fluently too made the trip to Charyn Canyon very enjoyable. Three of us had a lot of laugh during our trip. We really recommend supporting Mr, Nur and his partner, two young native entrepreneur of Kazakhstan to be develop into strong company. ALL THE BEST. Me and my parents took few trips including this one with NEOmad in and around Almaty. All of them were facilitated by attentive, knowledgable and professional guides. We had a great time and the guide helped us to make beautiful family photos. When I urgently needed to cancel one of the trips due to health reasons, NEOmad manager was vey understanding and processed the refund despite no obligation to do so due to late notice. I will use NEOmad again and I have recommended them to my friends too.
