Charyn Canyon is a small version of Grand Canyon in USA. You will walk along a path through the canyon and will be able to formations that look like castles, and many other wonders, as well as enjoy sitting beside the Charyn river. You will never forget the beauty of this amazing place! 9:00 - Departure from hotel to Charyn canyon. During the tour you will be escorted by our professional guide. They will teach you about the history and cultural facts. 12:00 - Lunch in a village You will see a life in the village, design of the yurts, taste local food and horse milk. You will have an opportunity to feel and taste nomad's lifestyle. 13:00 – Arrive at the canyon 3 km walking tour inside canyon. Plenty of beautiful views and interesting legends. 5.00We had a wonderful time visiting Charyn Canyon in Kazakhstan. The scenery was breathtaking, and the canyon left us speechless. Thanks to our guide, Moon, who was friendly and made the trip memorable for us. Her stories made the journey even more enjoyable! The local food was excellent, especially the lagman and duck dish. We were also impressed by the driver’s skill. Despite the long drive from Almaty, the ride was smooth and comfortable. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience Kazakhstan’s beautiful nature and warm hospitality:)

5.00The Charyn Canyon is spectacular and a true natural wonder. It is fairly easy to walk down to the river. You then get a truck back to the bottom of the staircase to climb out of the canyon . Bit of a wait time when busy. Price was high but it was a long trip. We had a great driver and an interesting young man as our guide.

5.00The Charyn Canyon is gorgeous and a true natural wonder. Fairly easy walk down to river and caught a truck back to bottom of staircase out of canyon. The meal was also delicious. Price was high, but it is a long trip and we had a great driver and interesting young man.

5.00This trip was planned at a short notice as I was in Almaty on a business visit and did not anticipate this day trip . However , it was recommended by fellow travellers and hence , I requested Gulzat to arrange the tour who was kind enough to make the arrangements at a short notice . The trip was well executed with Elnar as our guide who was quite helpful and accommodated all of our requests . Fortunately , he is a good photographer too and helped us with taking some great shots . Charyn Canyon is nature’s marvel and provides stunning views of rock formations over ages . We took the Soviet era open van that took us from the parking lot to the base of the Canyon next to the Charyn river . The journey iitselfnis an experience with stunning views all around . There are two main area la - the red canyon and the black canyon . The trip starts with the red canyon . Black canyon is about 20 min away by car from the red canyon. While Colorado’s Grand Canyons are majestic , Charyn canyon is older and provides a unique opportunity to walk down to the base of the canyon , right next to the river .
