Join us for an off the beaten path hike where you will be one of the only groups enjoying a stunning 60m(180ft.) waterfall.
8:00a.m. meetup at a local bakery (if you require pickup, we will assign pickup time based on location) for a coffee/tea.
We will share a short scenic 45-minute drive overlooking San Juan and the surrounding metro area
Brief safety meeting before beginning our hike (handing out life-vests, changing shoes, etc.)
Light hike on a well-maintained trail, proceeding upriver, progressively increasing in difficulty for about 30 min with quick rest stops along the way at several pools/smaller waterfalls to discuss flora, fauna, history of the surrounding city and La Isla del Encanto. Photos and videos will be taken throughout your journey.
Reaching the climax of the tour, the 60m (180ft.) waterfall, we will cut some seasonal fresh fruit in front of the waterfall.
After sharing some time to swim and take pics, we hike back to our vehicle(s).

We will be driving through the scenics hills overlooking the metro area to our tour location to begin the hike

5.00Definitely recommend Tristan and this tour. We started out doing one tour and because of construction on the original excursion Tristan recommended another or to refund us, we weren’t sure and then after a few questions back and forth we went for it and we are glad we did. The alternate 200 foot waterfall and the hike up to it was amazing, we stopped at a local market for some fresh delicious fruit for the trail, Tristan was attentive to all of us and answered any questions we had. Talked extensively about local food and culture. And recommend other excursions. On the way back we went to another local place for empanadas and Margaritas. We won’t hesitate to book with Tristan again thanks for a great day Sara and Simon :)

5.00Tristan was a great guide! The rainforest was closed due to construction and he came up with this great alternative which we gladly accepted. He was super helpful during the hike which was pretty rocky and even cut up some delicious fruit for us to enjoy. So glad we did this the views were absolutely beautiful! Would definitely recommend to those who don’t mind getting a little wet.

5.00One of the must do trips if you are visiting El Yunque. Tristan was wonderful and helpful through the hike. Pick up smooth, drive was wonderful, he made sure to help everyone throughout the hike. The waterfall is absolutely mind blowing!! Make sure to add it to the itinerary on your next visit.

5.00Absolutely unforgettable experience! The Chasing Waterfalls tour with Tristan was the highlight of our entire trip. From the moment we started, Tristan's passion for nature and his deep knowledge of the area made the journey incredibly engaging and fun. He’s not only an expert guide but also super personable and made everyone feel welcomed and safe the entire time. The trail itself was a perfect balance of adventure and beauty—lush greenery, hidden streams, and smaller waterfalls along the way that just kept building the excitement. But nothing—and I mean nothing—could prepare us for the breathtaking 200-foot waterfall at the end. It felt like stepping into a dream. The roar of the water, the mist in the air, and the sheer scale of it all was absolutely magical. Pictures just don’t do it justice. If you’re even thinking about booking this tour—do it. You’ll come away with memories (and photos) that will stay with you for a lifetime. Huge thanks to Tristan for making it so special!

5.00This tour was the most beautiful yet exhilarating experience me and my Girlfriend have ever experienced. It was a huge step out of our comfort zone but we took a leap of faith and will never regret it. The hike proved to be more challenging than we were expecting…but when you get to the waterfall destination, the challenges you faced along the way are all forgotten. Thank you to Nelson for be a calm and understanding guide. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting a rare experience that you can’t get mainland. Also MAKE SURE TO WEAR THE PROPER SHOES!! I made the mistake of not doing so and had fell on my first step into the forest, it made it so much more challenging lol. Side note: the breakfast was fantastic!

5.00Tristan was super friendly and caring. Feel free to ask him about everything in Puerto Rico. The experience was awesome. Some paths were just a little rough to get through but we loved it. The waterfall is incredible, one of the best I’ve seen.

5.00We had an amazing time on the waterfall tour with Tristian. It was my self , husband , 13 year old ,10 year old , a friend and her husband and 10year old. I had put in the wrong location to meet Tristian he was very kind about it. He gave great information along the tour and it was nice having a guide in front and a guide in back because our kids were alot faster than us. The river and waterfalls were beautiful! One of a kind experience! Oh, they even put some of our things in their waterproof bag. So we didn’t have to worry about our car keys. When we go back to Puerto Rico, I will definitely be giving him a call to set up some more tours! He also gave us some recommendations on beaches that we should go and see. Other questions we had about Puerto Rico he was great with answering them. I would recommend him and his tours.
Terrible experience. Low professionalism. Tristan did not accomplish what we paid and did not attend our calls.

1.00Terrible experience. We had paid in advance to a tour and Tristan said in the last minute that would not be able to go that with the excuse of rain. He did not respond our message on time and not attended the calls. We were available at the point of meeting and no answers were got. We lost the opportunity to go to the forest. We were expecting a better communication but sounds very strange that Tristan just stoped to respond and attend calls in a moment that we were at whole family waiting for him. Happily that we had a good service from TripAdvisor and cancel and get the refund. I do not recommend someone like Tristan for this tour. Family needs someone with professionalism and that can trust. If TripAdvisor needs any evidence for this opinion, I can prove that we tried to get contact with Tristan and he just ignored.
