Departing from Kinloch, our unique small group tours take you to discover some of the hidden gems of Lake Taupo only found in the remote Western Bays and only accessible by boat.

Come away from the crowds and visit majestic rock faces, private beaches, crystal waters and waterfall visits.

Our 3.5 Hr Adventurer tour departs from Kinloch, a short 20 minute bush walk drive from Taupo. Our skipper will take you to the southern end of the Western Bays to discover the plummeting rock faces, formations and ravines that are only accessible by boat.

Standing tall, as if guarding the entry into the southern end of the Western Bays, the Karangahape cliffs have to be seen to be believed. The cliffs plummet into the inky depths of the lake below and stretch high up above us as the boat takes you right up to the cliff face.

Great time exploring Lake Taupo with Ian who is a friendly, knowledgeable and considerate guide and skipper. Perfect length of trip to cover what to see which covers geography, biology, history and fun!

It was nice to sail out of Kinloch, about 20 minutes from Taupo, on a different part of the lake. He is a great guide and really nice too. One waterfall really roared!

We had a great day out with Ian exploring some secluded locations and beautiful places. We learnt some interesting facts and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Good mix of activities with boating, swimming and a walk

The 3.5 hour Chasing Waterfalls experience was absolutely exceptional - Ian was a great tour guide with fantastic knowledge of the area, and so kind throughout the morning. He made sure we could stop to take photographs and got us right up close to the stunning waterfalls. The whole morning was so relaxed, and we had a truly magical experience seeing the hidden gems of the western bays. Every moment was a "wow" - cannot recommend this adventure highly enough, well worth the money for the longer experience!

We had a great on the lake with Ian! He was a phenomenal captain and tour guide, sharing interesting and insightful information as we came right up to several beautiful waterfalls and a lovely short hike to another! 10/10 recommend, rain or shine (ours was the former and still a great day out)

Had a wonderful trip with Ian. The views were spectacular with great explanations from Ian along the way. The Western Bay is so undisturbed by humans it feels like a real privilege to visit. Thoroughly recommend this trip
