You're restricted to 20kg (44lbs) of luggage per person. This should be one piece of luggage similar to an airline carry-on bag (approximately 55cm x 45cm x 25cm / 22in x 17in x 10in) plus one small bag for onboard personal items.
The total duration of the tour will include travel to/from and time within the destinations.
In order to retain the integrity of the tour and try to ensure that all our customers have the best possible experience, we do cap bookings from any one party to 8 passengers.

Walking among the ornamental gardens and world-famous Georgian and Victorian architecture, you'll come away from this vibrant town refreshed and inspired... and ready for more. We'll make some other stops along the way but we leave that up to your driver-guide who will take into account the weather and interests of the group.

A Lovely Day in the Country

4.00We had a very enjoyable day out in the Peak District and Visiting Chatsworth House. Fortunately, the weather was nice. It would have been much less scenic and comfortable if it had been cold and wet. Buxton was a very interesting stop and Chatsworth House and Gardens was very impressive. Unfortunate that we couldn't make a quick detour to Bakewell. A couple things prompt a Good instead of Excellent rating. First, the directions to the meeting point need to be far more specific. It appeared on Google Maps that the meeting point was just outside Manchester Piccadilly Station. It was, but on a different level of the station. They should provide a recommend place to put into Google Maps to get to the meeting spot instead of just saying the intersection of two streets. It didn't help that when we called Rabbie's for direction, the person who answer couldn't provide them. We ended up sprinting to the bus once a kind local told us how to get to where we needed to be. The other thing is I was surprised the guide could not answer a couple of my questions about Chatsworth House.

1.00Went to the pick up point as directed by Viator. It was not correct and therefore missed the tour. I made my plans to go to Manchester for this tour and got left behind. Not sure who was at fault but unacceptable. This was a trip I planned for this particular tour. I am so disappointed. When you travel from the other side of the world it is so incredibly disappointing.
10 out of 10… would do it again!

5.00Pete from the Rabbie’s Tour Guide company did a fantastic job educating our group about Manchester, Buxton, and Bakewell while driving us to the Chatsworth House in Derbyshire. He was funny, charismatic, and good company to be around. Pete has so much knowledge that I learned more than I expected.

5.00My experience was amazing. I was looking for this tour few years ago, because I am a huge fan of Pride and Prejudice. I was visiting different shooting locations were used in 2005 version. And I was super happy because at the end of my visit I had my selfie with Mr. Darcy.

5.00Easy to find pick up location. Simon was a great tour guide and gave lots of interesting information during the drive. Tons of time at each spot. We didn't feel rushed at all and absolutely loved seeing Chatsworth.

5.00Travelers learn a surprisingly detailed account of Manchester before heading over to the Peak District. It was great historical information that I didn't expect to receive! The stops and the house are beautiful as one would expect. It was an especially nice treat for our guide to add an extra Pride and Pejudice stop along the way back.

5.00We thoroughly enjoyed the tour from Manchester through the beautiful Peaks District and on to Chatsworth House. Simon was an entertaining and informative driver, filling us in on the history of Manchester along the way. We stopped at Boxton to “ take the waters” and the bustling Market Town of Bakewell, before arriving at the stunning Chatsworth Hose. We had plenty of time to tour the house and wander the gardens before heading back through the hills to Manchester. The one negative was the directions to the bus pick up were confusing. It needs to be made clearer which entrance to leave Piccadilly Station, as store street does not run off the road in front of the stations main exit. In the end we had to take a lift down to the streets behind the station. It was lucky we had given ourselves plenty of time.

5.00Rob has been excellent, the timings were spot on, he kept us well informed and gave us the best talks explaining the history of Manchester, the Peak District, Buxton and Bakewell, while also playing some English folk music on the way. I could listen to his talks all day long! So interesting. Chatsworth was beautiful, there’s plenty of time included to explore the house inside and outside. A great trip altogether, would highly recommend.
