Hello, I am a classically French trained chef and I teach people to cook the recipes I love to cook, to enjoy the process and not to panic in the kitchen.
My experience as a chef working in some of the Melbourne and Europe's best professional kitchens under the most talented, passionate and humble chefs has made me the chef I am and allows me to help you become a better and more confident cook. The food I love to cook is French cuisine with a modern influence, elegant Italian cookery and Australian cuisine, introducing native ingredients. Seasonal, sustainable and fresh ingredients is an absolute must in my kitchen, which my kitchen garden plays a huge role in as does my local Mornington Peninsula suppliers and producers. We have a few precious things in our life that give us pleasure and enjoyment and cooking and eating food does just that. This is why I invite you to cook with me in my kitchen and to enjoy a magnificent 3 course meal at my table.

Bookings can be taken for a dinner class and private bookings can be scheduled for any dates.
You are treated to a wonderful 3 course gourmet lunch including canapés and light refreshments.
Private transportation
You will be warmly greeted by Sophie and Humphrey my beautiful golden retrievers who will lovingly meet you at the front door where delicious aromas are emanating from my kitchen. This unique experience begins with a gorgeous table set for an amazing lunch and a kitchen laden with wonderful produce ready to be cooked. As you don your aprons and take your place in my kitchen we dive right in for the full kitchen experience. Here we read through our menu and recipes and begin our preparation and cooking. During this time you will learn tips and tricks of the trade. You will gain knowledge using and storing ingredients and equipment, knife skills, pan frying techniques and food styling among many other tips. As we finish each recipe we adjourn to the table to eat and discuss the balance of flavors and textures. We are constantly eating all day. You can ask as many questions as you like and take as many photos as you like and like so may before, you will vow to return for next seasons menu and to bring others you know who will love this experience too. Get ready for a fun day of laughs and great food and wine!!!

Pan seared scallops, basted in loads of butter, ginger & garlic then finished with fingerlimes.

Rack of saltbush lamb and lamb jus gras
Saltbush lamb with an amazing bush tomato & pepper berry lamb jus.
dessert
Apple & Wattleseed Tarte Tatin
This apple & puff pastry dessert is a winner and with the addition of cinnamon, vanilla and wattleseed, then Brandy cream I dare you not to love it.

My day with Chef Jacqui was everything I expected and more. Small groups with great hands on cooking class in lovely surrounds. We were taught three dishes plus lots of tips and chefs guidance as we made asparagus with hollandaise sauce, parmesan Tuille, and the perfect poached egg. Saltbush rack of lamb with pea purée, persillade and amazing smashed potatoes. Followed by Apple Tarte Tatin. Lots of laughs. Lots of fun, a few glasses of wine and a full belly. What more could you want from a cooking class. I can’t wait to visit again for another season’s tuition.

Jacqui was so lovely and welcoming. We learnt so much about French cooking from knife skills to general organisation. Jacqui was so generous with her knowledge. The 3 course meal that we cooked was amazing and one that we will repeat at home, and we will explore further French cuisine. We would recommend this to anyone who have a passion for French food or not. We look forward to Jacqui’s news letters in the future and would love to join her again for another lesson.

Our lovely afternoon spent with Chef Jacqui was one of the highlights of our recent visit from New Zealand to the Mornington Peninsula. We learned many tips and techniques and with Jacqui’s expert guidance, given in a friendly and relaxed manner, produced a gorgeous three-course meal. We highly recommend for a family experience with a difference!

My fiancé and I received a gift voucher from my Aunt & Uncle who had previously enjoyed the company of Chef Jacqui at her lovely home. We both highly recommend this for anyone of any skill level to laugh, relax, learn some fantastic ways of cooking and most of all eating the delicious food we had cooked. Can’t wait to bring some friends and do it all again!

Fantastic day with Chef Jacqui in picturesque Fingal, sipping wine while learning an array of culinary skills. The menu looked intense, but with Jacqui’s expert tutorial and warm and inviting hospitality, we soon giggled our way to French inspired perfection. A very engaging afternoon. Looking forward to coming again!

We had an absolutely ripper time with Jacqui at her Mornington cooking class. The experience was 10/10 and the learnings have been repeated a handful of times already at our own homes. Jacqui has amazing food knowledge and is a great laugh. Would highly recommend if you're looking to improve your cooking over a few wines with friends. Jacqui was exceptional in her own presentation and that of her kitchen. Everything was sparkling and her home is stylish, chic, open plan resort living which made the overall experience one of luxury and decadence. I confess, I like to feel special when paying for a service and that is exactly what you get. The menu is generous and one that gives you great skills and tips to re-produce food that is sensational and absolutely doable!! It will impress anyone! Overlooking the Moonah Links Golf Course and beyond, the views are amazing. An amazing chef who is genuine with her desire to share knowledge and empower her guests with the confidence to create amazing food. A must do if you like food and entertaining!

We had such a wonderful time cooking with chef Jacqui.She is so personable at the end of the class we felt we had spent time with best friends. As I am a trained Food Tech teacher I even learnt new techniques. Chef Jacqui is so talented and was an excellent teacher. Will do another class later next year. Highly recommend this activity
