This memorable private day tour will take you to explore Chiang Rai and visit all magnificent places packed with the Northern-Thai modern architectural marvel of White Temple , Golden Triangle where the border of 3 countries meet ( Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos ) and enjoy cruising a boat along the Mae Khong River, moreover cross to Laos border, continues to the characterized charming Blue temple and the 76 mitered Giant Buddha of Wat Huay Pla Kang which is the new landmark of Chiang Rai.

What To Expect

Wat Rong Khun

The Wat Rong Khun is the best highlight in Chiangrai, founded in 1997 by the most famous artist of Thailand called Chalermchai Kositpipat. This is a unique temple that stands out through the white color and the use of pieces of glass in the plaster, sparkling in the sun. The white color signifies the purity of the Buddha and architecture of the temple combines the modern Thai and Lanna Thai design which symbolizes Buddhist heaven.

Golden Triangle

The Golden Triangle is the border of 3 countries join ; Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos, in one place. It is 9 kilometres north of Chiang Saen along the Mekong riverside road. Sop Ruak is the place where Mekong River, the border between Thailand and Laos, meets Ruak River, the border between Thailand and Myanmar. In the past, Golden Triangle was the world's large source of drug trafficking owing to its privileged location attached to many countries. However, it is currently taken good care of and becomes a popular tourist attraction. From the viewpoint, the tourists will find the land that connects the three countries, surrounded by long and calm Mae Kong river.

Had an absolutely wonderful experience with Mr. Big on 2/7/25. Picked us up at hotel, drove to all destinations while chatting with us in learning more about Thailand. He took us around the popular temples in bypassing the tour bus crowds while taking our pictures which looked professional. The boat ride to Golden Triangle and Laos was exceptional, having beer and exploring the market with its different knockoff items. Was a very long day that ended 13 hours after it started. I highly recommend Mr. Big for your tour guide to ask for. A good guide!!

John was my fabulous guide. He was like a walking encyclopedia with lots of information. He was patient, a great photographer, cab driver, and humorous. The tour is one of the highlights of my trip . The WHITE temple was gorgeous! Ask for John if possible.
