Very well organised tour. Our tour guide Rodrigo and driver Noe was amazing. Very well informed. The food they serve for lunch was really good and lots of vegetarian options. Highly recommend this trip.

We booked to be picked up from our hotel at 8am. A couple of days before the excursion, we were informed the pick up would be at location on the highway at 07:40am. The driver; Gerardo, arrived in a beat up minibus and spent some time trying to fix his windscreen rubber which was broken and flapping about, before asking if we were the people he was looking for, He asked for some tax receipts that we knew nothing about. After a phone call, it seemed we didn't need them. The seats on the bus were covered in sand and the exhaust had a hole in it so there was a smell of fumes. We arrived in Playa Del Carmen on time at 09:00 to meet the tour bus which was a little late. The coach was clean and comfortable. We were assigned seats for the whole day. It was expertly driven by Jesus. We felt very safe. The guide was Francisco (Super Frank). He explained our itinerary in both English and Spanish as Jesus drove us to Chichikan Cenote. At Chichikan, we had a blessing from a shaman followed by a tequila tasting. We could then choose lunch, swim in the cenote or vice versa. Lunch was a simple buffet and was Ok. The changing area for the cenote was pretty basic. You had to take a freezing cold shower before putting on your life jacket. The cenote was located down a lot of steep, slippery wooden steps. The water was pretty cold. Once back on the bus, it was a short drive to Valladolid where we had 30 minutes free time. It was a pretty town square, but we only had time for a coffee before the drive to Chichen Itza. The point of going this late was that it would be getting quiet. There were lots of market stalls all selling similar products for "one dollar" which increased in price once you showed an interest. Frank guided us around the big 3 buildings and made them come back to life. He was an excellent guide. The drive back to Playa Del Carmen was long and by this point we were very tired. Gerardo was waiting and drove us back to our pick up point on the highway. It was total of 14 hours and over 600km in one day. This excursion isn't suitable for anyone with mobility issues due to the steps at the cenote and tour around Chichen Itza

Pick up was super easy, since they didn’t offer my hotel as a pick up location. I was picked up at a near by hotel which was a 10 min walk from my hotel. The bus was running late due to traffic but communicated that with me so I was up to date with the ETA. The tour guy Romero was fantastic. He guided us through every step of the tour and knew the history behind the Mayans. The food was delicious at the buffet and the stop in town was just what we needed before the journey back to the hotel. My overall experience was a 10-10. Thank you

We had an amazing tour with Frank and Orlando. We learnt so much about Mayan culture and got to enjoy the sites with enough time while still packing a lot into the day.

We had a wonderful time with Ramiro and Kevin. We were a little weary after reading some reviews but tour was absolutely spot on and exactly as described. I want to address a few points that are always raised: 1. I highly recommend taking the early 5am tour. Chichen Itza was not busy and the cenote was not crowded. There are a lot of complaints over lines and not enough times for activities but I guess that with the early tour you avoid most of these issues. We felt we had plenty of time in all locations. 2. We did not have a stop at the Mayan village that a lot of reviewers complain about (perhaps it's too early for the early tour?) and no lines at all for life jackets at cenote. So again - we felt we had enough time. 3. Valladolid was a nice quick stop for wonderful ice cream and a some photos. Did not feel like we needed more than 30min provided. 4. There are a lot of remarks about extra charges. We found that everything was very transparent. All is mentioned in the description of the tour and again in the very clear texts and emails you receive. Paying online before the tour for taxes, lockers and vests was easy and other than that we did not encounter any extra charges (other than tip of course). We did not buy any drinks at the buffet lunch (we brought many water bottles with us). Buffet lunch was just ok. 5. Day was very long - about 13.5 hours door to door, but that was to be expected. It is a long drive and the hotel pick up add some time to it. It was a little frustrating in the morning, since 1.5 hours into driving, we were basically still 15min away from our hotel. However, we got to chichen itza exactly at 8am (local time, 1h earlier than hotel zone at Cancun) so it was well planned. Overall, a very good day, well planned with wonderful knowledgable guides. Bus was very comfortable with good AC. We had a lot of fun and I highly recommend. Just be prepared for a long one and would take the early tour!
