This amazing private adventure includes detailed tours of two of the most popular Mayan ruins sites in all of the Yucatán Peninsula, Cobá and Chichén Itzá! This is approximately a 9 hour tour (including travel time) and includes pickup/drop off transportation, drinks, snacks, a tour of each site by an experienced and licensed tour guide, and a delicious local lunch. Our tour guides are very knowledgable in the history behind both of these sites and will provide you with very interesting facts about the Mayan culture. Our tour guides do not simply point and explain the obvious, they are educated in Mayan and local history and are professionals. Cobá is a peaceful tour as you take a short walk or bike ride through the jungle to reach the main pyramid which you can climb. Once at the top of the pyramid you can look out over the jungle treetops for miles! Chichén Itzá is a larger site and is one of the "7 Wonders of the World" as well as a UNESCO World Heritage Site!

At the Cobá ruins we will learn about the city that once thrived at this site. This is also the only ruins site in the are where you can still climb the main structure. Once we reach the top we will be able to see over the vast jungle canopy. Beautiful!

We booked a private tour to Chichen Itza and the Coba Ruins with Rodrigo and thoroughly enjoyed it! Rodrigo was friendly, knowledgeable, and had all of the details covered, from snacks, to water (we highly recommend packing more if you're not used to hot weather), and visual aids to accompany the tour. We spent a full day visiting the two sites and learned an incredible amount about Mayan history, their culture, belief systems, and the ruins/remains themselves. In addition to providing an educational experience, Rodrigo helped us get some fantastic photos to remember our journey by! We would definitely book another tour with Yucatan Eli again in the future.

We had an amazing tour with Eli. He hit all of the key points and we learned a lot about the history of the Mayans from this tour. He didn’t make us feel rushed and was super efficient with his timing. We avoided all of the crowds, took amazing photos, and had a delicious lunch in between. We would recommend this tour to anyone wishing to learn more about the Mayan culture!!! We had a blast!

We went on three different tours with Eli and they did not disappoint. He was cheerful, informative, and knows the best spots to avoid crowds for a wonderful experience. He was never afraid to customize or change plans to fit our needs (stopping for coffee, restaurants, etc.). Eli truly made our trip in Tulum one to remember!

I felt safe traveling by myself with the tour guide Eli. He was very professional and knew the history very well. I would not trust any other tour place! Highly recommend.

Eli was the best! Friendly, very knowledgeable and fun. The day was perfectly paced with a fantastic tour all around Chichen Itza, a wonderful lunch of great local food and, my favorite, a pedi-cab ride through the jungle to view the Coba ruins.

Eli is a marvellous guide, we were picked up from the hotel and he drove us around all day explaining the history of all these incredibel sights! Choose Eli, you'll definitely won't regret it!

A friend and I spent four wonderful days with Eli as our guide. In addition to the full-day tour of Cobá and Chichén Itzá, we did the half-day tour of Tulum, the Sian Ka’an Adventure (including a tour of the Muyil Mayan ruins), and a custom tour that included the Ek’ Balam ruins, colonial Valladolid, and a visit to Cenote Dzitnup. The highlight for us was the visit to Ek’ Balam, which is less well-known and less crowded than the other archeological sites in the area. Of particular interest were the well-preserved sculptures discovered there in the 1990s after a wall collapsed revealing a hidden tomb. Eli is very entertaining, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We can't recommend him highly enough!

This is a wonderful experience, highly recommend! Eli is very knowledgeable and personable. He had everything prearranged so there was no waiting in long lines at any of the places on our tour. This was the only tour we took during our stay that actually picked us up directly at our hotel. From beginning to end, the tour was fun, interesting and educational. Lunch was amazing, authentic and local. We even got to shop at a remote local village. This is Mexico at it's finest. I will definitely book with him again!

We actually did two tours with Eli. Chichen Itza/Coba and Si'an Kaan/Muyil. Eli was THE BEST. If I could give more stars, I would. He is so knowledgeable about Mayan history - I learned so much about the ruins we visited. He also took us to two authentic mexican restaurants where we had the best food of our lives. He is kind and funny and easy-going; I feel like we learned and found a friend.
