During our short trip, we unexpectedly discovered this place in the Shanghai French Concession and decided to join a Chinese knotting workshop. At first glance it seems very easy, but that’s not true. On one hand, you need to fully concentrate on the process, but on the other hand, the workshop feels very meditative. My husband and I really enjoyed it. The master was very friendly and told us about the meaning of Chinese knots. This workshop is suitable for everyone, including children.

Before visiting ChinaTown Cultural Center, I did not know very much about Chinese culture. I had always appreciated handicrafts and wanted to learn more about traditional Chinese knots, so my boyfriend and I decided to join a Chinese knotting workshop. During the workshop, we learned more about Chinese traditions and Chinese knots in particular. In the end, we made a pair of red bracelets as a symbol of love.
