  Very enjoyable but difficult to see the presenter due to being at the back of a very full class. However the whole experience was enjoyed by all the family young and old. The presenter was excellent and made a point of including us at the very back.

• Expensive so get a York pass to see other attractions too.

  Lovely interactive place, lots of free chocolate so kid will love it. Some good bits of history too. It get busy so make sure you book in advance.

  I had a brilliant time. The teacher was informative and engaging. It was a fun environment. I would recommend to others.

  Me and my friend Lucy loved every minute of it - I went with my friend as we had a trip to York and wanted to do something fun rather than just go clothes shopping or go for food which we usually do when we are back in our home town. 😂 York cocoa works was very intresting ! We had our session with Ben, ( I think that’s what his name was, he is tall , brunette hair ? ) looked in his late 20s possibly 24 😂 He was really good with explaining things with how the chocolate was made and where it all came from like the cocoa beans and everything . We got to choose from different molds for our chocolate, I chose a heart and my friend chose the Yorkshire rose. We also chose which chocolate we were going to use , I chose milk ( the best flavour ) and my friend had chose dark. Ben gave us an option for us to put some flavouring into our chocolate and my friend chose raspberry! We then had to keep stirring the chocolate till it melted and didn’t have any lumps in- we also used a hairdryer to melt the chocolate! A very easy option to melt chocolate! When we finally Melted our chocolate , there was lots of options for our fillings / toppings for our bar, I chose honeycomb , sea salt , red sprinkles and marshmallows. My friend chose coffee beans and sea salt ( she’s a coffee lover 😂 ) After we chose out all of our toppings , we placed them into our bowls (that we had to use to put the chocolate in and mix everthing together) and mixed them up. When the chocolate was finally looking good , we scooped out our chocolate mixture with our Toppings in and we put it into our chosen molds . Then, we handed them to Ben and he placed them into the fridge to set . When the chocolate was finally set and ready to collect , Me and my friend came back and collected them and took them home ! I definitely recommend this place if you are a chocolate lover ( like myself ) or if you are even a local in York ! Thanks guys - Mia and Lucy x

  Young Sam was new to the role and a little nervous but he did a great job in leading the session. Our daughter loved it. Lots of interesting info provided too.

  Was a very informative and fun experience. Hands on, tasting and tempering chocolate. Would highly recommend... Def worth the money.

  Fab fun experience Sam the guy that took our workshop was lovely and friendly They kept the cafe open for us whilst the chocolate set Beautiful chocolate

  Had a Spanish hot chocolate and an orange hot chocolate. Very tasty nice atmosphere. The class in the back room looked very popular. Would have done if here fornlonger

  I learned a few tricks of working with chocolate and through the bars we made. You had plenty of flavours and ingredients to add to your milk or dark chocolate to make the bar. There were about 18 people in the full class, yet it moved quickly. It was fun listening to our guide talk and explain things. It took about 25 minutes after the class for the bars to harden or you could come back before the end of day to pick yours up.
