Joining Discover Richmond Tours means exploring Church Hill in a unique way. You will sample delicious food and snacks from up to 5 different restaurants, cafes, and bakeries, possibly including wood-fired pastries, classic Richmond comfort food, authentic Ethiopian Fare, and more! You’ll learn about the birthplace of Richmond and it’s heroes, and hear how our partner merchants got their start. But most of all, we’ll make sure you have fun doing it.

Be sure to bring water and comfortable shoes – we’ll be standing at most of our stops, and we’ll be in and out too quickly for water and other beverages to be served.

Jeremy did a great job leading the tour. He included a lot of detailed history which I enjoyed immensely and learned a lot. All the wine and food restaurants we visited were excellent. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Just come hungry because the food servings were a full portion, not just a taste.

We truly enjoyed the Church Hill food tour. Our tour guide Jeremy was friendly, energetic, and full of facts about the dining establishments and Richmond. He was a good example of local support for the city and people that live in Richmond. The food choices were great. We liked the variety and portions. Also, the length of time for the tour was just enough. Highly recommend!

I bought this for my husband as a birthday present. Madison was a great tour guide. She was knowledgeable, personable, and funny. I have to be gluten and corn free due to a chronic illness. Even though they say that this tour isn't ideal for someone who has to be gluten free, they made accomodations to ensure I had a great time. The food was delicious and it was a lot of fun.

This was our second tour with Brian and his historical knowledge and the food did not disappoint! He and Madison did a great job walking us around Church Hill, introducing us to great food, and telling us about local lore, some true, some questionable like the local vampire, but all interesting. We went to Chimbo Sandwich Shop, Second Bottle, Khalo’s taqueria, Proper Pie, and Spotted Dog. All of the spots were delicious and we would go back for more when our bellies weren’t quite as full as they were after our tour.

I will certainly be coming back for more. I was so impressed! As a vegan, I was thrilled to be able to enjoy every stop on the tour, and each one was so unique and delicious. I also loved learning the history along the way, it added so much depth to the experience. Benedict was a wonderful guide, and I can’t wait to do this again. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Richmond!

This is an engaging tour that combines local RVA food businesses and Richmond history. There’s something for everyone, whether your a fan of farm to table food or a history buff.

This was a great tour! The food was amazing at all the stops; we were absolutely stuffed by the end. Jeremy was very knowledgeable about the area, the history, and restaurants, and he was funny and personable. We took this tour because we had a guest from out of town, but we learned just as much as he did. I will definitely be looking into the other tours offered.

Outstanding tour, highly recommended. We are from Charlottesville so we know Richmond fairly well ready but the tour uncovered so many things we were not familiar with. Benedict, our tour guide does an outstanding job!

Excellent combination of food and history in an amazing historic area of Richmond. Our guide was a great conversationalist and knew his stuff! Very engaging and informative and the food was amazing! Chimbo’s Tuscan Chicken sandwich was such a unique and tasty stop. Of the course the Proper Pie was an amazing one-of-a-kind in Richmond.
