  Fantastic guides and an overall great experience. It was a long day, but there's no way around it if traveling from Florence.

  The guides were excellent, Victoria Noemi and Irene! Wrangling 50+ people into 3 groups and keeping us all together and on time is no easy feat but they did an amazing job! Super knowledgable and entertaining and above all patient! The tour is a long day for sure, maybe wait a day between other long days lol but we got to see 5 cities in one day, which is pretty cool. I like the stairs test…meaning if the 370+ stairs seem like too much you prob want to skip the hike part like we did and take the train. Now the bad but not so bad lol it’s 5 cities in 1 day.. so not a lot of time in each - we didn’t get much time in the last one due to having to catch the ferry (also part of the good!) be prepared to walk a lot and wear super comfy shoes, so glad the weather cooperated and we didn’t get any rain.

  The crew that helped us navigate this adventure were ABSOLUTELY amazing!! It’s a day filled with walking, adventuring, exploring, trains, buses, boats (usually unless the weather gets you like it did us), laughter and lots of steps. We didn’t know what to expect when we lined up for the bus in a deluge of rain around 7am but both my daughter and I were pleasantly surprised by the incredible guides that showed up with humor, smiles and a wealth of knowledge. I can’t express to you just how much they made the day special. When you get there you are one of many, but they split you into groups. Our tour guide was Emma (Em) and she was kind, supportive, funny, energetic, knowledgeable and helped us go with the flow. We also had support from the two other tour guides Ginevra and Alessandro who provided help throughout the day, humor and insightful knowledge on the bus trip to the first train stop. The trick on this excursion is to be flexible. We had some weather issues, delayed trains, rough seas and unexpected things pop up, but each of our guides stayed hopeful and kind and reminded us to go with the flow. Our bus driver also went above and beyond to make the day special. Some things I would recommend….good walking shoes. Sunscreen. An umbrella for the moments the skies open. Clothes that accommodate hiking, steps, long commutes and steep inclines. And water. Lots of water. If we had to do over, the only change we would have made was to bypass lunch and opt for some fresh seafood at a later stop. Overall, good experience made great by Emma, Ginevra, Alessandro and the adorable human who was training that day (so sorry we can’t remember her name but was EQUALLY as awesome and deserves her roses too!). Thanks for a great experience!!! We really truly loved being a part of the journey.

  Wonderful day seeing all 5 villages ! Guides Em, Genevra, and Alessandro were wonderful- they clearly explained options to walk with them or go on your own into the villages . Options to hike and to ride the train allowed the group to stay together and split up but regroup. This experience allows for those wanting adventure to hike but if you are traveling with others who are challenged to do so , you can still spend the day together . Guides clearly shared iconic photo spots , were very organized in offering options for lunch and snacks , and knowledgeable ! Guides were willing to answer any questions and clearly had experience at these sites . Be sure to have a few euro cash on the trip as certain stops and add-ons like a glass of regional wine took euro (cash) only. Some bathroom breaks were free and some were 1 euro . Our guides made sure restroom accommodations as well as food and drink breaks were just right ! There had been quite a bit of rain the days prior to our hike so hiking was slippery but easily doable with the requirements clearly explained for this tour . Guides were very aware of time and worked hard to keep the trip to 13 hours . Views will not disappoint and this trip is well worth the time if you have a day to spare !
