Buses run in all weather, so dress accordingly
You will need to exchange your ticket for your hop-on hop-off ticket with the City Sightseeing staff or bus driver before or upon boarding the bus. Keep the ticket with you at all times

Audio Guide: The audio guide is available via in-seat modules or directly on your own device in several different languages. Please bring your own headset for the best experience. Turn on the location services from your provider, scan the QR code on the seat/ brochure and press play to start. If needed, headsets with jack sticks and adapters for iPhone and Android are available to borrow - please return them for recycling
Accessibility: We aim to make our tour accessible to all. For guests requiring assistance, we offer storage for collapsible wheelchairs. Subject to space and availability. Please note that a ramp or single step may be needed to board the bus, and several steps are required to access the upper deck. We also accommodate strollers, with designated storage space, ensuring families with young children can navigate the city with ease

You can start your tour at any of the stops. For guests arriving via cruise ship, please note that City Sightseeing Oslo serves cruise guests arriving at the city's different ports; for Filipstad and Oslo Cruise Terminal our iconic red buses await our guests on the pier right at docking. For Revierkaia/ Langkaia passengers meet our staff on the pier and the buses stop around the corner next to the SALT Sauna and Culture Scene
Season: This tour is seasonal and typically operates between June - October, dates vary each year
Dates with Potential Disruptions: 24th - 25th April, 1st May, 17th May, 19th - 27th June, 12th September. Throughout 2026: Possible major roadworks or infrastructure works in Oslo city centre and ring roads

Uber taxi cheaper and more efficient.

1.00We thought it was smart to buy a hop-on and hop-off tickets for one day. Specially there was a bus stop set up at the cruise terminal and we could easily get on. Via a QR code we can see where the buses were travelling so we can plan our city trip properly. Unfortunately there were only four buses that went through Oslo so the waiting times were at least 30 minutes. Often, the stop added extra waiting time because she wanted to distribute the buses over the entire route. The result was that we could only get off and board stop 1 and get off at stop 2 alone. Boarding at stop 2 was not possible because the bus was on the road too long and we were forced to take a taxi to the cruise terminal. My advice for visiting Oslo is, order an Uber taxi and visit the places you want to visit because that is much cheaper compared to four day passes at city sightseeing hop-on hop-off. Four day passes cost me $191 and you can make quite a few Uber taxi rides for that.

1.00-Bus was crowded. Audio was not good. No app or easy access to the live map. + Bus was on time, as per the schedule on the paper map that you could only find on the bus.

5.00Really enjoyed my bus tour. Not that many stops, but interesting ones. Recommend the park, the museums and the cruise port stop for souvenirs. Great value ticket price, and the voiceover gives real insight into Oslo.

1.00Bus due at 10am. Temperature about zero. At 11.20 rebooked with competitor bus company and asked for refund. Request refused. We do citibreaks often - guess which company not to be used in future

2.00Very little commentary and each bus seemed to have a different channel to listen in English on one occasion mine was channel 2 and my friends was 3!

1.00This particular tour operator could not be reached via phone by myself nor Viator on the day of my experience. Their website said that they were closed and we NEVER saw a bus!!! Have requested a full refund!!!

3.00The bus was comfortable and provided us with what we needed to get around town. The hitch was at the beginning… We did not know which bus to get on as there was some confusion about the bus with white or yellow. All the buses said “hop on, hop off,” so it was very confusing and this continued at every stop. We would hop off to tour some area of Oslo, then when we went back to the bus stop, it was the same thing all over again… Which bus to get on.The second issue was with the running narrative… There was a lot of static on mine, and the earbuds do not fit in my ears. Other than that, it was perfect!

5.00Covers many important sights . Buses come frequently. Commentary via ear buds good.. Bus met us at cruise port which was very convenient.
