In 2020, Bergen will have the 950th anniversary of its foundation. 950 years of history have left traces in the city that are visible to everyone today, but whose importance is not always perceived. On this tour of the city, I would like to give you a brief history of what happened in Bergen a long time ago and not so long ago. The tour is divided into the following two theme areas.

Part 1 - A walk through the city

Part 2 - Bryggen and the German Hanseatic League

Our friendly guide Martin shared the history and highlights of Bergen. We enjoyed walking around and taking in the views. Martin also gave us a list of things to do in Bergen which was nice to have. Would definitely recommend this tour :)

Finding out the history of how Bergen was from past to present , history and was very clear on how Bergen was important to the history of Norway

Martin was a wealth of information and had plenty to share about the city. Additionally, he was able to answer specific questions and give local recommendations. My college-aged daughter and I enjoyed our two hour tour but would have been happy with even a bit more time and walking around to learn even more.
