The Brickhouse Inn, formerly the Old Welty House, played a pivotal role during the Battle of Gettysburg, serving as a vantage point for Confederate sharpshooters who occupied its second floor and attic. Today, the lingering spirits of these soldiers are said to haunt the inn, their presence a chilling reminder of the fierce conflict that once raged there.
The Witness Tree along Baltimore Street in Gettysburg stands as a silent sentinel to the brutal fighting that occurred during the Battle of Gettysburg. This ancient tree, present during the bloodshed, is believed to hold the echoes of those fateful days, with some claiming to hear whispers of the past in its rustling leaves.

Had an amazing time today with our tour guide Patricia. It was only my son and I on the tour, so we had extra time for history and ghost stories. A fun way to sample some great food and have a great time!

Richard was a WONDERFUL guide! His experience as a professor of history only enhanced our experience! He took time to explain how the battle came to be…the confederates wanted shoes!!! We never knew this and that is how they came here only to be followed by the federal troops and engaged at Gettysburg. He answered questions and took plenty of time showing us points of interest and telling us some of his personal favorite areas here. Every time we come here we learn something new and this time was no different! Definitely worth EVERY PENNY!! Thank you for a fascinating tour!

For my tour it was just myself and my son's mother. Mikaela was our tour guide and she was phenomenal with history and random facts along the tour. A great experience overall! Would go again!

We had an amazing tour from Richard. He went so into detail with the history of our tour, and went above and beyond with his description of what happened leading up to the battle. I have been coming here since I was a little little kid, and he really put into light not only the history/dates/context but also gave us the gory details of what ACTUALLY happened here and it’s effects on the locals as well as the ghost stories, rumors, drama and legends that stay long after the fighting ceased. If you want to really know the history and connect with what these soldiers and civilians went through here I highly recommend these tours. Especially Richard’s!!!!
