The duration of transfers are approximate, the exact duration will depend on the time of day and traffic conditions
Participants will get wet, please dress ready to raft in bathing suit and shoes that will stay on feet.
Not responsible for items lost or damaged on river, please do not take anything on the river that you are not willing to lose.
Not responsible for items left on transfer bus or on tour, please check carefully before getting off bus and at end of tours

This tour is designed for someone who wants to see the beauty of the rainforest from a spectacular vantage point – above the trees!! Your exciting day begins when your guide picks you up at your hotel for your Hanging Bridges Experience. The Arenal Hanging Bridges Guided Hike offers an amazing view of the rainforest. This easy, guided hike is wonderful for nature lovers of all ages. Your naturalist guide will provide information about the areas flora and fauna, while helping you spot wildlife that you probably wouldn’t see on your own during the Arenal Hanging Bridges Guided Hike. Along the trails inside this private natural reserve of nearly 250 hectares of tropical rainforest, you might encounter leaf-cuter ants, wild boars, vipers, tarantulas, poisonous dart frog, toucans, monkeys and sloths.

5.00Enzo is the BEST guide. We did the rafting and hanging bridges w/ lunch tour with him and will never forget the day we had. He was super knowledgeable, great with kids and really wanted us to have a good time. We would have missed so much if we had walked the hanging bridges alone. He made sure we missed nothing. Rafting the Balsa River was just plan amazing. So many animals and excitement, the guides all made sure we had a great experience. The stop for lunch at Arenal Vida Campesina was chef's kiss. My husband is still dreaming about the food. The coffee making demonstration and moonshine tasting was really cool too. No notes, Wave Expeditions. Thank you so much!

5.00Wow!!! What a great way to see the La Fortuna Area. Thank you so much to our guide for the day, Sivianny. Morning at the Hanging Bridges and afternoon White Water Rafting with special trip to local farm. The entire day we felt well looked after.

5.00Christopher was our guide for beginning rafting classes and he was so fun and hilarious. Our friend group loved him. He was nice and kind, made it entertaining and eased any nerves we had. So happy we had him.

5.00We had the best experience with Wave Expeditions!! Our day started with the hanging bridges tour with Gustavo and he was such a great guide! We saw frogs, snakes, beetles, and learned about the volcano and surrounding area. His telescope was perfect and we got some amazing photos! Following this adventure, others joined us on the bus and it was time for the rafting. We were fortunate that we got to stick with Gustavo as our guide. We had so much fun! We were given clear directions and felt safe in our raft with helmets and life vests. Cruising through the river was a blast! We didn't want it to end. There was even a sloth sighting! (though a bit hard to really see). The fresh fruit snack was the prefect treat halfway through the trip. Afterwards we had a great lunch and learned about juicing sugar cane and had a shot! Highly recommend this for some fun in Costa Rica!

5.00My family and I had a great time on the rapids. There is a bit of manipulation here but it is all in good fun. The watermelon and pineapple break was awesome! I highly reccommend!

5.00Diego, Diego, Diego!! He was excellent; knowledgeable about all of the wildlife and plants, patient with my family, and fun on the water rafting portion while always being in control! We saw, sloths, toucans, no kids, dart frogs as well as so many other birds and animals all in one day!!

5.00Wave is the best local company to work with for your adventure needs. We were blessed to get Carlos as our guide and are certain our time in La Fortuna would not have been as memorable without him. He went out of his way to teach us many things about Costa Rica, the environment, animals and even Spanish. We had an amazing time rafting down the Balsa river. The rapids are no joke, but he taught us well and kept us safe the entire time. If you are looking for adventure in La Fortuna, go with Wave everyone there is amazing, but we will always request Carlos - Pura Vida!
