Established in 1999, Encounters With Dolphins has been safely providing guests the opportunity to view dolphins, learn about Clearwater and enjoy the sand and sun on Compass Island and maybe even take a dip on the island! We are a small business founded on the principal of wanting our guests to have the same experiences we would want to have on our own vacation. We’re also proud of the fact that almost all of our staff are either marine biologist, conservationist or experts in marine wildlife. All of us work tirelessly to ensure that all of our customers have an enjoyable and relaxing time with us!

A lovely boat ride and short island stop. We saw a couple of dolphins, but unfortunately not a pod, that we were hoping to see. Captain and mate were very informative, approachable and welcoming. We personally, would have preferred to have stayed out longer at sea and skipped the island stop.

It was a magical trip! We saw the dolphins and they took us to a key in the middle of the sea. Incredible, I'll be back for sure

We had the best time with Encounters with Dolphins in Clearwater, Florida! From start to finish, the entire crew was so kind and welcoming. Our kids were thrilled the entire time, and Dylan was incredible—so informative and engaging. Our 5-year-old especially loved learning all the fun facts Dylan shared, and hasn’t stopped talking about it since! We loved it so much, we ended up booking another tour with them the very next day. This was truly an experience we won’t soon forget. If you're in Clearwater, absolutely book this tour—you won’t regret it!

This was a very fun and relaxing tour. We did the 11am boat ride, and even though we didn’t see a lot of dolphins (not by fault of the company - dolphins don’t run on the tour’s schedule) we still saw a few. Including a mommy and baby! The captain and his mate were very kind and very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend taking a tour to see the beautiful wildlife and scenery
