1.00The $50 fee is twice as much as other companies in Ometepe charge and you get nothing for the extra money. Torrential rain on my hiking day but the company was obstinately against allowing any changes, leading to a dangerous experience for me and my guide. I had given them my dietary requirements but the snacks provided included ingredients I couldn’t eat, so was forced to hike for 10hrs in the rain without food. DO NOT book this; wait until you get to Ometepe and book with any other company.

4.00Guide Roy. Not going to write a lot. Just book the tour and climb with Roy. English speaking, nice guy, informed about the region...what you need more while you are sweating 😁?! Really enjoyed this hike! Thx Roy.

5.00Roy was a great guide: very knowledgeable, smart and friendly. His English is very good. We didn't reach the top of the volcano because there was a lot of wind and clouds but it was still a very good experience. The lunch (chicken sandwich) was also very good.

5.00We did the expedition to Concepcion volcano yesterday and were guided by Roy. There were 3 of us in the group. We really enjoyed the day and found Green Expeditions to be well organised and very friendly. They were reliable and punctual and we took regular breaks throughout to ensure the group all kept together. The views from the lookout point and the top were fantastic and we really enjoyed it. The hike was challenging because of the steepness of the slope and rocky terrain. I highly recommend Green Expeditions to other travellers!

4.00Very good experience. The guide was in shape and shown us different interested things. The only thing we didnt appreciate is that the guide left us way behind and was not there to show the right direction. We were all alone for half of the hike.

5.00It was not easy hike, but worth it big time! Everything was very well organised by the Green Expedition, very generous coffee , sandwiches, granola bar, nuts , energy drink before the hike, I even didn’t take all of it, was too much:) They do provide 2 guides for the group of 10 people, guides are very nice, kind and smiley! If I have to recommend it worth every dollar to pay for this amazing expirience climbing Consepcion volcano in Ometepe! Thank you, Green Expedition! You are just perfect!

5.00We had an amazing day. Our guide was very informative and experienced. Definitely not an easy hike though you need to be in excellent physical condition. We also had a great time exploring the island on the motorcycles. I would recommend staying on the island a couple of days because there is so much to see and do. I can’t wait to bring the family back next year.

5.00Besides from the actual amazing experience of hiking the volcano, my experience was significantly amazing due to Lazaro Muñoz, our guide!!! He was patient, encouraging, and such a gentleman to all the woman he had on his team. I highly recommend anyone planning on hiking Concepcion.
