The perfect day. Electric bike ride along the stunning coast followed by paddle boarding on the Onkaparinga River. Top it all off with a meal at a local eatery followed by a wine tasting in McLaren Vale. All in one day!

Lunch is part of the tour but not included in the price. When I contact you, I will provide you with options. You may just wish to bring lunch, or you may want to go somewhere quite fancy; I'm easy.

There are now 2 options for this tour (I will contact you after you book to organise). Option 1: Meet at 41a Third Ave Moana and follow the itinerary below. Option 2: I can pick you up from your accommodation (1 location). We would do the same itinerary as below, without the e-bike ride. 9:00 am: Meet at 41a Third Ave Moana for group debrief (guests to organise transport to Moana). 9:15 am: E-bike ride along the stunning coastline to Onkaparinga River (E-bikes stored on trailer; tour proceeds on mini bus). 10:00 am: Stand Up Paddle boarding Lessons on Onkaparinga River. 12:15 pm: Shower and change. 1:15 pm: Lunch (not included in price). 2:30 pm: Wine tasting 4:30 pm: Tour ends. No matter which option you choose, I can drive you back to your accommodation (1 location).

Activities: After spending 2 hours paddle boarding, your afternoon will be spent eating and drinking the best food and wine in the Vale.
Duration: 8 hours
Lunch: After paddle boarding, we will head to McLaren Vale for lunch and tastings (not incl in price). We will organise together.
Door to door service: I will pick you up and drop you off. This tour DOES NOT include an e-bike ride.

5.00A great tour customised to our group! Luke looked after us so well and even took photos for us throughout the day. Would definitely recommend the tour to anyone who loves outdoors activities and good food and wine.

5.00Luke was just an incredible guide and made a really special day that was tailored to our group. He was patient and encouraging with the e-bikes, even with the most nervous of riders! And wow what an amazing ride. I'm definitely no bike rider, but even I enjoyed racing along the vines. The views were insane. He tailored the tour to us. We had a bakery lunch as we requested, and then the wineries, breweries and distilleries really hit the spot. It was clear Luke had thought about our tastes and taken us to some wicked places. He is just such a wonderful guy. So passionate about wine and the process, and incredibly friendly. Everywhere we went he was known and clearly loved. He really knows his stuff and loves the area and local produce. Great for both our international guest and the locals in the group. We just had a ball. Thanks Luke!

5.00My family and I went on a tour with Luke at Gone AWOL and it couldn't have been better! Not only was Luke in constant contact before the tour, making sure the day would be tailored to exactly what we were after, but the experience itself was so great! We rode the electric bikes (a first time for all of us and they were so fun! Luke goes through how to ride them so no worries there!) and then visited a handful of amazing wineries, a distillery and a brewery (such a good selection!) There are plenty of options for lunch and we chose the local bakery which was a hit! I think what really stands out the most is Luke’s passion and enthusiasm for what he does! Not only is he super friendly and just a terrific bloke generally, but it was obvious from the knowledge he shared with us that he lives and breathes McLaren Vale. I was also really impressed that Luke has made a point of supporting local businesses through Gone AWOL (from the wineries we visited to the trailer which was built locally to the neat stubby holders we got as a gift!) My family and I couldn't recommend Luke and Gone AWOL enough. Thank you for a fantastic day Luke and we’ll definitely see you again soon!

5.00An absolutely great day out with Luke, the host with the most. Paddle boarding is really, really fun and actually a lot easier than I thought. The boards are so steady and easy to use. The bikes are also really easy and make for a great cruise around the coastline and after our exercise in the morning, the wine, food and sparkling honey-mead kept flowing all afternoon! Simply a superb day out :-)

5.00We had a fabulous day with varied and enjoyable activities. Luke was knowledgeable and personable and looked after us so well! I had not been on an electric bike and it was so beautiful riding along the cliff tops of such a lovely unique coastline. We then cooled off by going paddle boarding which was exciting and we all had a big laugh, it wasn’t too challenging as far as fitness goes, just enjoyable being out on the water. After paddle boarding we went to visit some wineries and Luke’s local knowledge was invaluable here, we tasted and bought some amazing red wine and saw some beautiful vineyards. A fabulous trip that I’d strongly recommend to everyone!

5.00We had an awesome time on our tour. Started off with a ride on the e-bikes (so much fun and easy) from his house and along the bike track on top of the cliffs which have awesome views of the coastline. We arrived at a beautiful location on a river just near the sea. Luke had already brought all of the paddle boards to the location, so we packed the bikes into the trailer and set off down the river. Absolutely stunning location with big sand dunes on one side. We paddled towards the mouth of the river and then turned around and came back. After that we packed up the board's and washed off then headed to a nearby winery for the rest of the afternoon. Sampled some great wines and had a delicious cheese platter. We all had a great day and the weather was perfect! Luke was an excellent host and made everything so easy. I would highly recommend Gone Awol.

5.00We had a perfect day on the tour with Luke! We rode e- bike along the coast, then paddle boarding on the river and afterwards wine tasting. I did it all for the first time and I can't remember when I last had so much fun! I highly recommend it and I would do it again and stay at Luke's wonderful accommodation anytime! Thank you so much!

5.00The tour of Gone Awol was one of the best experiences of my life. First of all, we had so much fun with our e-bike tour along the sea, enjoying heavenly views, and then drove to a river where we switched from the e-bikes to paddle boards. It was the first time I did something like that and a great experience! Luke explained and illustrated each step really well, so it was easy for me to follow the steps. Finally, we went as a group for wine tasting and tasted fantastic wine to end a perfect day. I would do the wonderful tour and stay at Luke's amazing accommodation again at any time and can only recommend it to everyone!!! Thank you Luke for the incredible experience!

5.00A phenomenal experience in a truly beautiful part of Australia with one of life’s gems. Luke Harris. You could just play chess with this guy and have a cracking day. But his Gone AWOL package is something else. If you’re going to venture to Adelaide, do yourself a big favour....head south and go AWOL.
