  The treatment i was given was top notch because of VIP treatment i was accorded because i was representing our Minister of Botswana Ministry of Environment and Tourism and the Director of Botswana Meteorological Services. • A Stunning Hotel with Great Facilities Ambience, Tranquillity, Excellent Cuisine too

  We stayed at the Cinnamon Lakeside for 8 days during late June 2024 and it was clearly the best part of our holiday programme that you can have. Service is exceptional and the whole experience was as you would expect from a five-star hotel. Hotel is centrally located in Colombo yet quiet & peaceful. We had a room on 5th floor facing pool & lake with spectacular views especially at night as the Lotus Tower is lit. When we checked in, we were met with Warren Hankel, Front Office Manager, who was very helpful and provided all the information we needed to know. Also, all of the front office staff to housekeeping, food and beverage staff to front door staff were excellent in greeting and dealing with every customer on arrival as a VIP. Ranked the Best Five Star City Hotel by Sri Lanka Tourism, Cinnamon Lakeside Hotel, Colombo is the epitome of indulgence and elegance. Overlooking the tranquil Beira Lake, the hotel offers completely refurbished, comfortable rooms. Its inimitable blend of luxury, personal attention, sincerity and warmth gives you the opportunity to enjoy your break at your own space, regardless of whether you are on holidays. This is a stunning hotel with great facilities and a beautiful lakeside pool. The presentation and choice of breakfast was amazing including lunch and dinner services were brilliant, you are spoiled for choices. We noticed that the entire food and beverage operation was continuously supervised by Thushara Bandara who is the Food and Beverage Director, who appears to maintain an excellent team providing first class operation covering all the outlets. All departments deserve a garner acclaim for their excellent customer services produced. Also, credit goes to the general manager to all of his line managers maintaining a high standard of world class customer services. The hotel staff were very pleasant and helpful towards every customer. The staff were very hard working, always ensured customers are looked after, extremely pleasant and always smiled. One always reads about the Sri Lankans are the country of smiling people. That quote certainly proves to be the truth nothing but the truth when compared with the entire brigade at the Cinnamon Lakeside. SPECIAL NOTE We wish to convey our special thanks to the front office cashier/night auditor who went an extra mile to help us on the morning of our departure. The cashier/night auditor’s name is Vidura Weragama. We had a problem with the transfer booked with the Aitkin Spence who are partnered with the Emirate Holidays, the transfer driver was booked to pick us up at 5am on 29th June, unfortunately transfer driver did not turn up in time. We would say that the front office staff in the morning tried relentlessly to make contact with the Aitken Spence driver but no response. We are grateful to Vidura Weragama who was on duty on early morning who went an extra mile to help us with the problem and he managed to provide us with a complementary transfer to the airport with the hotel car. Also, hotel driver was very courteous and took us to the airport in time. We take this opportunity to thank the cashier and the driver who were courteous and delivered us to the airport in time.   I had dinner with my friends on 9/16/2023 at Royal Thai Restaurant, Cinnamon Lake Hotel Colombo. From the time we entered right upto our departure it was excellent hospitality, courtesy and extremely helpful tips during dinner. Waiters/ waitresses, specially Isuru who was assigned to our table, treated us like “royalty “. The dishes were delicious to say the least. Both vegetarian/ non-veg dishes were equally delectable to say the least. All in all ROYAL THAI MADE OUR DAY, after a disappointing attempt at another restaurant in a 5-star hotel in Colombo the same day! PLEASE KEEP IT UP, YOUR INNOVATIVE DISHES AS WELL AS THE SERVICE ROYAL THAI. 👍👍👍

  This is the 3 rd visit for the past one year. This visit I am staying for 2 weeks. The staff are so wonderful and always smiling. It is so nice to be treated by such friendly staff. Love to mention some names. Gayani Punchhewa the front desk manager, Warren Hakel assistant manager front desk, Priyani who always smile and get up when I come out of the lift, Gamani from the concierge team who is always there willing to serve, Prasad, bar manager, Minoli from the restaurant, Hirushani the ever smiling host restaurants. These are more people I like to mention. It is a second home for me. Will support this hotel any day
