Colon
Colón was founded in 1850 by the Panama Railroad Company, on the swampy island of Manzanillo, originally called Aspinwall by the company. Within the city of Colón, we have several sites such as the Casco Antiguo de Colón, or Cristóbal, the latter created by the French canal company. As well as public spaces such as Paseo Washington and Paseo Lesseps. Also, within this historic center, some buildings are declared monuments, such as the Episcopal Church, Cristo a Orillas del Mar, the Washington Hotel, and the Morgan Battery at Fort Lesseps. we will be visiting all these places listed above on this wonderful experience
Paseo Marino
It is a promenade that runs through part of the city of Colon and contains healthy recreation areas for children and adults, bicycle paths and even a plaza for people who like to practice "skating." From this privileged place you can see the ships waiting to enter the Panama Canal and those heading towards the enormous port of Manzanillo with merchandise from all over the world.

5.00I had such an incredible experience visiting Colón, Panama! From start to finish, everything was truly memorable. Our driver, Davis, arrived right on time in a clean, comfortable, air-conditioned van. He made the journey from Panama City to Colón feel easy, expertly navigating the streets. Once we arrived, our tour with Roderick began—and wow! I didn’t come in with any expectations, but if I had, he would have exceeded every one of them. Roderick gave us exactly what I didn’t even realize I needed: a real, authentic experience. He showed us the heart of Colón—the everyday people living their lives, the rich culture, the market, shopping and of course, the amazing food. One of my favorite parts was getting to try a variety of local foods at Santizo African Kitchen - fried fillet, coconut rice, patacones, garlic butter lobster. I also met a very polite and respectful young man selling meat pies and pineapple filled pies, which were delicious. During lunch, I heard Roderick mention coconut bread and thought I had missed seeing it on the menu. He explained that the place that sold it was about 15–20 minutes away, and Davis would take me. I did not want to interrupt the flow of the tour just for me to try this bread. A few minutes later, Davis appeared with coconut bread he had purchased for himself—and kindly offered me a taste. That small, thoughtful gesture meant so much and was just one example of me seeing how much they cared about our experience on the tour. This wasn’t just a tour—it felt like being welcomed into a community and seeing the city through a genuine, human lens. I left with a deeper appreciation for Colón and its vibrant spirit, as seen in Roderick. I Highly recommend this experience if you’re looking for something real, meaningful, and unforgettable!

5.00Amazing experience! Colon is a beautiful place, it's great to go with someone who is a local and knows everything about the city. We found some food that tasted amazing, we got some jerseys, and we saw the local and tourist side of town! If you go with a tour guide, Roderick and Riggo are the ones!

5.00Our guide did a great job taking us around the city. He gave us history and added personal touches taking us by his childhood home. I definitely recommend this tour. Freddy our driver was great as well!

5.00Our Caribbean roots tour in Colón was an absolute standout, thanks entirely to our guide, Rigo. From the moment we met him, his passion for Colón, its history, and its people radiated through every story he shared. He mentioned that we were one of his first all‑English tours, and we were genuinely shocked — he was that good. Clear, engaging, and deeply knowledgeable. Rigo brought the city to life with context that felt personal and heartfelt. His pride in his community was infectious, and it made every stop feel meaningful rather than rushed or scripted. A highlight of the day was the local restaurant he chose for lunch. The garlic shrimp and coconut rice were unforgettable — I’m still thinking about that meal. It felt like we were getting a true taste of Colón, not a tourist version of it. This tour was the perfect blend of culture, history, and authentic local flavor. If you want a guide who genuinely loves his city and makes you love it too, ask for Rigo. He made our experience exceptional.

3.00This was a tour that my mom and I were most excited to experience. Our tour guide was Ivan and he gave an okay experience. Most of the time we were in the car, wish we could have got to see the duty free mall. We mostly drove which was disappointing. Ivan was quite lazy and could have allowed us to do more walking to explore Colon. Overall I would return for another experience with another tour guide, not Ivan!

5.00Roderick was an amazing tour guide who took us to see many different places around Colón. He mentioned he was from Colón, so he had a uniquely local perspective. We learned about Colón’s history, culture, and food. He provided us with water and took us to eat some amazing food at a local restaurant. It was just my friend and I on the tour so we got to talk directly with Roderick a lot and it never felt crowded. The tour took about 6.5 hours total including the drive from Ciudad de Panamá of about 1 hour or so. Our driver was also great and my friend and I got to share our love of Reggaeton with him on the drive there and back! I would love to come back to Colón again and would recommend this tour to anyone traveling to Panamá!

5.00This experience was everything and more. Riggo was a fantastic guide; very knowledgeable and personable. We have heard all our lives about the contributions of the Caribbean people to Panama and to see it in person was a treat.

5.00We had such an AMAZING time!! Riggo was our tour guide and he could NOT have been better. He arrived early and entertained us the whole time. We laughed the whole time. It was just me and my husband and it was so much fun. I ate the best red snapper I’ve ever had, went shopping, went sight seeing. Riggo was raised there so he knew everyone and we felt totally safe! Although I feel like we would have felt safe regardless because Colon is peaceful and calm and everyone is rather friendly or minds their business. I would definitely recommend this tour and ask for Riggo!!!
