We will visit all the points of interest in the city. This is a cultural and historical tour of this great museum open to the world that is the city of Antigua Guatemala. The participants will visit monuments such as the San José Cathedral, the Central Park, the Palace of the Captains, the City Hall Palace, the Union Tank, the Santa Clara Church, the San Francisco Church, the Santo Domingo House, the Museum of Jade, La Merced church and the famous Arco de Santa Catalina and its charming street.

We walked around antigua and received a wealth of historical information. We look at the old buildings mostly from the outside because many you have to pay and entrance fee. Nothing about food or culture, no shopping. Then all the interesting spots you walked past you have to try to remember how to find them to go back later and actually see inside.

I recommend taking the tour with Gerardo. Unlike other guides from the beginning indicates that he will be patient, that there will be room for photos, some shopping, etc, the most important thing for him is the enjoyment and learning tourists.

Gerardo was the best! It was just he and I on the tour. He provided alot of interesting facts on the history of Antigua. It rained off and on and he took great care in providing me his umbrella. He was also very personable. I truly enjoyed the time with him.

Gerardo was a GREAT guide. We LOVED our time with him. He gave us great insights into Guatemala’s culture, history, and day to day life. He catered our tour to our interests and let me take as many pictures as I wanted. He was patient, friendly, and informative. Definitely a highlight of our trip.
