3.00It got us in the doors. Thankfully the ticket takers knew how to access the actual tickets because it was not intuitive at all. I was under the impression that there was supposed to be audio included. Never was able to locate or understand that aspect. We downloaded our own audio version

1.00Nice experience but not worth 42 euros per person when the ticket is 18 euros. Viator takes 24 euros commission for a non-existent service.

A Colossal Experience!

5.00We enjoyed our self-paced experience of the Colosseum. Our group (2 couples/4 people) who are used to going and hitting the highlights on their own, we able to visit the spaces and use the app without any real problems. (Must download every thing when you have good WiFi at your hotel or AirBnB, etc.) Ultimately we could have stayed in the Colosseum longer if we wanted to but there was no need. This tour gave us Arena Floor, and Levels 1 & 2. On the flip side we would hav like to tour to have given us the Underground portion as well. Also we had no idea there was an ‘attic’ so do your research on every section before you make your choice. This experience was booked thru Viator app, but we initially booked a tour that didn’t include the Arena Floor. Once we learned that, we had booked early enough to make a change without any penalty. This tour cost more then the Level 1&2 only but if we’re going to the Colosseum only once, we’re making sure we go early and every spot we want at a minimum. In general the Viator app works well, but because it is a clearing house for multiple tour operators every communication can have some idiosyncrasies. Be sure to have the WhatsApp app on ur device because each firm delivering the services is basically doing the best they can with hundreds of different languages. Choose what is best for you and your group. Our tour was delivered by Dream Tourism and our contact SAK was very patient with us. The Viator App tied to send us one place for the meet up location and SAK confirmed we were elsewhere for the meet up. Once we met, he explained how to truly use the self paced app as well a direct us in and thru the building. Hope was available when we chose to go to Palatine Hill & The Forum. We took an early morning tour which perfect for a lot of reasons including the month (April), the time (08:30) and the weather (60F-65F) & sunny! This gave an opportunity for good lighting of pictures. I suggest you understand your time of day you are going and what you want to see. Palatine Hill & The Forum are great visits with spectacular views. If you have the time to spend there, do it. You never know when you will be back. Overall A Great Experience!

2.00*NO ears received..! ( because of “hygiene” this is no longer done) *difficult to orient yourself via app in Colloseum, does it have to do with poor reception? This makes it difficult to find different spots, indicated by number
