What's the best opportunity to fully enjoy Sicily? We will prepare fresh tagliatelle with pesto from my garden (or alla norma) and typical Sicilian cannoli, starting everything with an aperitif with local products. I will therefore show you the secrets and recipes handed down by my grandparents in their ancient bakeries. Everything will take place in my house immersed in the Conca D'Oro and overlooking the beautiful city of Palermo. You will comeback home with a treasure of flavors and recipes handed down over time.

5.00I would share to all travelers thinking about this experience….. Book It! Absolutely amazing, Carlo is such an amazing ambassador to Sicily and it’s rich culture and perhaps more importantly his ability to teach, share and provide such a beautiful experience.

5.00Most beloved experience in Palermo. The setting, the food, the host- all perfection. Carlo’s warmth made the entire experience wonderful. The food was delicious, and touring the garden was educational. Highly recommend this activity; would definitely do it again!

5.00My husband and I enjoyed our cooking class with Carlo. In fact it was the highlight of our trip to Sicily! Carlo and his wife have a lovely villa off in the hills around 12km from Palermo. Before we began Carlo took us for a walk thru his mature garden filled with fruit trees, olive trees, vegetables and herbs. His class was out on his patio in the lovely sunshine. We learned to make homemade cannoli and fresh pasta. Carlo is an engaging chef/"teacher" who made the class look easy. I think my husband will be making fresh pasta for us every weekend from now on. OK, maybe that isn't true, but Carlo made making homemade pasta so easy that I'm going to buy a pasta machine and definitely give it a try at home. He served our homemade pasta, with a wonderful sauce made from the tomatoes grown in their garden. Delicious! And the cannolis were the best we've ever eaten. We definitely recommend adding this class to your "to do" list when visiting Palermo. Even husbands who don't cook will enjoy this fun class. 😍🥂

5.00Carlo’s cooking class is a wonderful experience! His class was one of the highlights of our trip to Sicily. He is a perfect host, serves tasty appetizers, and a delicious meal that we help prepare. The experience of picking the fruit and vegetables from his garden and orchard is unique. He made the class fun and we enjoyed making the cannolis and pasta. We would encourage everyone to take this cooking class with Carlo. You will have no regrets! James and Arlene

5.00What a lovely experience! We had the best time, Carlo is so warm and friendly. Walking in the garden to pick for ingredients felt like a visit to paradise. Top notch from booking to finish! 5.00One of the best experiences of our entire trip. We booked this as a family of four, two adults and two girls (ages 7 and 11), and it exceeded every expectation. It was completely private, which made it feel incredibly personal and special. We started in the garden harvesting fresh fruits and vegetables with our daughters, then moved inside to make fresh pasta from scratch. Carlo was patient, engaging, and made everyone feel involved, even our youngest was completely absorbed the whole time. The setting, the views of Palermo, the food we made together, all of it was world class. This wasn’t just a cooking class, it was a genuine experience we’ll talk about for years. If you’re visiting Sicily with family, do not skip this. Highest possible recommendation.

5.00This cooking class with Chef Carlo was an absolutely incredible experience! We spent time in his beautiful garden, enjoying the most delicious fresh oranges and mandarins. We were also treated to amazing wine and incredibly tasty dishes and appetizers that felt almost unreal. Chef Carlo was very attentive, friendly, and passionate about what he does. He created such a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made the whole experience feel very special. During the class we learned how to make fresh pasta and even how to prepare cannoli, which was so much fun. Everything was explained clearly and we felt involved in every step. Thank you, Carlo, for such a wonderful and unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting Sicily!

5.00If you’re looking for a true hidden gem in Palermo, Cooking With Carlo is an absolute must. Carlo welcomed us into his home on the mountainside overlooking the beautiful city of Palermo and the Tyrrhenian Sea. The experience began with a tour of his stunning property and garden, where he grows everything from fresh lettuce, tomatoes, eggplant, and peppers to mandarins, lemons, grapefruit, and a variety of berries. Seeing the ingredients growing right there set the tone for what was to come. We started with incredible bruschetta topped with lemon pesto and sardines, mortadella sandwiches, and perfectly seasoned olives — simple, fresh, and absolutely delicious. Then the real fun began. Carlo guided us through making fresh pasta and authentic cannoli from scratch. It was hands-on, relaxed, and something I can genuinely see myself recreating at home. For lunch, he brought everything together into an unforgettable meal. The Pasta alla Norma was hands down the best I’ve ever had. We also enjoyed a fresh caprese salad before the pasta was served. And to finish? The best cannoli I’ve ever tasted. Carlo, thank you for an incredible meal and unforgettable culinary experience. I highly recommend anyone visiting Palermo who wants an authentic Sicilian cooking experience to book with Cooking With Carlo. You won’t regret it.

5.00At the Villa you are greeted with Prosecco & an appetizer for a chance to relax and enjoy the view! Carlo is very knowledgeable and patient with a passion for cooking. It was delightful experience and a wonderful way to have lunch!
