Learn to cook local food! The chef comes travels to your condo or rented house and teaches you to cook various meals, she has a list and you can choose from the list what you would like to learn to cook, and the best part is when you are finished you can eat the food. You get hands on experience directly from the chef about the different types of foods available in Roatan.
Some of the local food includes: baleadas, catrachas, Honduran tacos, pastelitos, machuca, and many seafood dishes. If you are allergic to anything please feel free to tell the chef.
Food isnotincluded in the price. The chef can go shopping with you or she can do the shopping herself and you reimburse her for the items, which is a great way to see the way the locals shop.

Local chef will meet you at your condo and explain and prepare everything fresh, everything that the local chef uses is fresh plus you get a hands on experience. The duration is 2 hours, and chef will leave your kitchen tidy, please specify if you want an English speaking chef or Spanish Speaking chef. This is a great way to learn about our types of local food and learn how to cook and eat like a local, If you would like to go to the market and learn about the different veggies and fruits we can arrange this with the local chef which is a great way to see how the locals shop and see what is in season at the moment as our fruits are seasonal. Please note the ingredients are not included in the price of the experience and cost is to be paid at time of purchase.

5.00Carrie was super friendly and happy cooking, explaining the recipes, and sharing about local life in Roatan. Definitely glad we did this experience!!! Food was amazing and a part of our trip I can always do at home now!!

5.00Had an absolutely fabulous time cooking with local chef, Carrie Welcome! Not only was Carrie an amazing cook, she was able to adapt her recipes on the fly to accommodate my allergies. We thoroughly enjoyed the fried tuna, steamed snapper, creamy garlic shrimp, rice and black beans, cauliflower, carrot, broccoli compilation and fried green plantain. If you have the opportunity to go the Roatan Farmer’s Market in Politilly Bight, don’t miss it! It made the cooking class into an event, seeing some of the eastern island and touring the garden of the farm. Loved listening to Carrie’s stories about life in Roatan. Highly recommend this tour!
