At the center of Copenhagen's beating heart in Vesterbro lies an unassuming little cellar bar. This is the site of the very first Mikkeller Bar. Originally founded with an ambition to create the best beer bar in the world, this would come to be the blueprint for multiple locations worldwide. None of this was known back when the bar first opened its doors. Back then, Mikkeller founder and CEO Mikkel Borg Bjergsø had a wish to create a cozy place where beer enthusiasts from all over the world could enjoy not only his own beers, but the absolute best that the beer world had to offer – both old and new.
The Vesterbro area’s main street Istedgade exudes diversity. Between porn shops and strip bars are some of the city's best boutiques, restaurants and bars. For many years, Istedgade was dominated by drugs, porn and prostitutes, but today the famous street has transformed to something else – especially in the end opposite Copenhagen Central Station, while still maintaining some of its authentic vibes in the other.

5.00Brilliant experience. Christoffer, who is also the owner, is a humourous, talented, and incredibly knowledgeable guide. When visiting a city my primary concerns will always be trying to find the slightly different approaches that lets me both see, experience, and - most importantly of all - taste the place I'm visiting. BeerWalks does exactly that and at a fantastic rate where I really feel I get the bang for my buck that I'm looking for: beer tastings at perfect intervals, stories about the things you see on the walk, and lots of background info about both the beer and the inhabitants of the areas you walk through. Despite having been in Copenhagen many times over, and having had my fair share of guided tours involving beer, I still managed to learn tons of new things about both Copenhagen and beer. Thank you so much for the wonderful experience, Christoffer.

5.00By far the best, most entertaining and not least the most factually correct and professional story about beer, I have tried somewhere outside a university or brewery (and also better than a couple I have gotten at brewers). And as a retired professor of biotechnology, I've heard some.

5.00If you like beer, this is a thing for you! So worth doing if you like beer and at the same time get to see places you as a tourist would never have seen. Good beer and Kristoffer is awesome as a guide, so committed and knowledgeable! Great setup!

5.00We met at Beerwalk's office on Istedgade and walked with Christoffer as a guide through the central part of Copenhagen. The tour included a lot of stories about places, about brewing and about the specific beers we tasted along the way. Very cozy and educational trip about both Copenhagen and beer!

5.00We have never been to Copenhagen before and our cruise ship overnighted here so we saw this as an offered excursion and decided to give it a try. What great fun!! Our guide, the owner, was an awesome host and tells a great story. He also knows the world of craft beer extremely well. He kept our small group engaged and laughing and interested for the full 2-1/2 hours, and we tasted some amazing Danish craft beer!! Highly, highly recommend!!

5.00Incredible experience- feels like we have seen a totally different side of Copenhagen. Great tastings and a knowledgeable host - full of humour and stories. Would highly recommend if you are interested in trying a variety.
