Corregidor Island’s blend of historical significance, educational value, natural beauty, and cultural impact makes it a special destination that offers a profound and memorable experience.
Corregidor Island was a critical military site during World War II, serving as the last stronghold of American and Filipino forces defending the Philippines from Japanese invasion.
The island features important wartime relics, such as fortifications, bunkers, and the Malinta Tunnel, which played crucial roles during the conflict. Explore the island with knowledgeable guides who provide detailed narratives about the battles, strategies, and experiences that unfolded on Corregidor. What a wonderful place! My guide Edward (Eduardo) is an expert on everything that happened in Corregidor and World War Two in the Philippines. The tour does start very early and requires a long drive to the meeting point across Manila Bay from Corregidor Island. However I enjoyed the street activity we drove through in Manila City which was quite alive even at 5am! You then take a boat ride to the island which you pretty much have to yourself! I was the only tourist on the island! You get driven around the island on a bus which stops at numerous points of interest related to World War Two sites. You see barracks, a hospital, gun emplacements, a parade field, a movie theatre and all kinds of other things that a US military base would have. Everything is in various states of ruins, having been bombed first by the Japanese and later the Americans when they retook the Philippines with the Filipinos. The island is basically as it was after the war along with some memorials and a museum with wonderful photos and artifacts from the war. What a place, what a day, and I had the entire island to myself except for my guide, the bus driver, and a couple of others such as museum staff and coast guard officer. A long day but well worth it in my opinion.

The outrigger canoe trip is an adventure but the tour and the guide are phenomenal. Highly recommended trip. To see where and how the battle for Corregidor was fought was amazing. And again, our tour guide William was very knowledgeable and interesting.

Had a great day and tour! This was well worth the effort. It is a long day from Manila, but well worth it. Edward knows this history well and enjoys sharing his wealth of knowledge. He makes learning / remembering history interesting ... and does it with the proper respect for such a location as this. The remaining artifacts and the stories of those who gave all are indeed worth seeing and hearing about.

I'm from the US and was staying in Manila. I have read much about Bataan and Corregidor from history books and came across Vitor offering this trip that would pick us up at our hotel, take us to the boat dock in Bataan, then to tour Corregidor then take us back to to our hotel. It was an awesome trip and I'm very glad that I did this tour. Our host was Leila who we booked our trip through and she was awesome. She followed up several times by texting prior to and after the trip to make sure everything was coordinated an we were well taken care of. I can't express enough how awesome and well worth the time and money this trip was to my fiance and myself. Again thank you Leila for making this such a great trip!!!
