The Cradle of Humankind
You depart from your hotel in Johannesburg and drive through the suburbs of Johannesburg north on your way to the Cradle of human kind. Your tour guide will keep you updated on where you are at the particular point thus making the tour even more enjoyable. The Cradle of Human Kind is about 47,000 hectares and is located about 50 kilometers from Johannesburg. It is one of the 8 Places in South Africa listed as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999. Whilst on this tour, you will visit various places including Sterkfontein Caves where the 2.3 million year old fossil Australopithecus africanus was unearthed in 1947. From here we proceed to the Lion park famous for its lions and here you get to do game drive . A day full of history of the origin of human kind and a bit of Mini safari awaits you

5.00Highly recommend the double - Cradle of Humankind with the Lion & Rhino Park Tour. The Caves tour was physical but an exceptional experience and wonderful ‘deep dive’ into history. The Lion & Rhino tour was also amazing. Our driver Phillip was professional & polite ensuring we were comfortable & happy who went the extra mile/effort & time. Ensuring that we made the safari animal feeding times and positioning the vehicle for the best photo opportunities. Thank you.

5.00We had an excellent day with our driver, the game drive was amazing, the stairs in the maropeng wonder cave nearly took me out!! Holy hell!! Then the museum was our last stop and it was wonderful, so glad we did this trip… highly recommend

5.00Ok, so the Cradle of Human Kind was SO much more than I expected. What an amazing experience and a must do for anyone/everyone. Phillip was my guide/driver at the park and he knew everywhere to find the animals. The jaguar escaped us, but it was such an awesome day! Lions walked around the car and so did the rhinos. Definitely an amazing day with this crew.

5.00MK was our guide and he was great. We started with the Lions and Rhino and what a surprise with all the different animals including the very rare White Lions Then the Crafle of Human Kind Perfect!!

5.00Great day, unfortunately we were unable to view the caves as they were flooded due to heavy rain. But MK our tour guide was great and was very informative at the rhino/ lion park.

5.00What are great experience! Our guide MK was professional and fun from pick up at our apartment until drop off. He carefully selected the time for each location so that it wasn’t crowded. My advice would be to select Saturday (less traffic). He was attentive and gave really good information. He really went above and beyond when we left an item in the car and he drove out of his way to bring it to the airport. He even texted us to make sure we made it back to the US safely. I would highly recommend this tour. Ask for MK and tell him that Billy, Val and Rhys sent you.
