Step into the shoes of a rum master blender at Casa Barú's exclusive 'Craft Your Own Rum' workshop, an immersive experience in the heart of Panama City's vibrant Casco Viejo. Forget traditional tastings; here, you actively participate and master the art of rumblending.
During this one-hour session, discover the Casa Barú production method, our raw materials and the secrets of distillation. This is not just about tasting; it is about understanding the science and passion behind every drop.
Guided by expert instructors, you will explore different flavor profiles. We talk about the aromatic notes, giving you the freedom to design and mix your own custom rum recipe, perfectly tailored to your palate.
Once your master blend is perfected, bottle it in a 235 ml hip flask or a 700 ml bottle. While you seal your creation, enjoy a complimentary cocktail.
Take home the ultimate souvenir capturing your creative journey: a completely unique bottle of rum that exists nowhere else in the world.

5.00This was such a fun class to take. I love learning about how things are made so this was a do it yourself experience. The host was informative and knowledgeable about the production of rum and the history of it. We had so much fun blending and creating our own bottles of rum to take home. My husband got both the bottle and the flask. Would recommend to anyone that goes to Panama City.

5.00I booked this because I love tours about how things are made & this was fantastic. We arrived a little early and got to wander around the space, which is beautiful and very historic. Our guide for the event was very knowledgeable and informative about the process of making rum and blending it. My spouse & I both took home custom bottles of rum and a flask with personalized messages. This is something I would recommend to any and all to do.

5.00Aw man today was amazing thanks to this experience. Juan was AMAZING! His customer service was outstanding! I want to come back to Panama just to have this experience again. He explained everything so well. The set up was very nice and the liquor was so good! He gave us a complementary cocktail. I got the mojito and it was DELICIOUS! The Rum we made was so good as well. He also gave my girlfriend a coffee shot as a birthday gift. lol It was such an amazing experience. He was nice even before we met. His wife and mom was there as well. Such sweet people. It was the best experience here. Y’all MUST experience this. The bottle so pretty! The packaging is cute too! He’s so knowledgeable. Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed ourselves. He made you feel like family. The establishment is clean and set up beautifully. If you’re visiting this is definitely something you have to experience. 10/10 will DEFINITELY and ALWAYS recommend! Go experience my new cousin! Thank you Juan for an awesome experience. I’ll be back!
