Follow in our founders footsteps and learn the art of the Master Blender. There can be up to 40 different whiskies that go into a blend and in our session we have 5 whiskies for you to nose and blend to create your own special recipe.

You will create your own style and make a 100ml bottle of your own blend to take away.

Also included is the heritage centre offering a unique insight into founders; John Dewar and his sons Tommy and John Alexander.

Your visit will start with a short film in the auditorium, followed by a chance to explore the heritage centre. Your experienced guide will take you into our Blending Room where you will create your own 100ml bottle of your own Blended Scotch Whisky. Your ticket does not include transport to/from the distillery. The distillery is located on the outskirts of picturesque Aberfeldy, nestled on the banks of the River Tay, 20 minutes from the A9 in Highland Perthshire, and 90 minutes from Edinburgh. Free parking. This experience takes place at 11 am Monday - Saturday. There is a cafe onsite, however, your ticket does not include food - booking is not essential for the cafe. Unfortunately, dogs (except assistance dogs) are not permitted in the visitor centre or distillery. The visitor centre and heritage centre are fully accessible, however, due to the historical nature of the distillery building, the tour can be adapted for less mobile visitors. My wife and I did the blenders experience and had a fantastic time. Having done well over 50 different distillery experiences I can honestly say this was one of the best. Many thanks to Craig, a brilliant host.

We visited the Dewar Distillery today for both create your own blend and the walk around tour with extra cask tasting. Marina took us for the create your own blend which was fantastic! She was well knowledgable, answering questions that we had. What a great laugh we had with her and checked in with us later in the day which was a lovely touch. We then went on the tour with Craig who was hilarious! He was also very knowledgeable, sharing fun facts and asked us questions and for our thoughts which was very thoughtful! Couldn’t recommend the whole experience so much and both Marina and Craig for making us feel so welcome and comfortable to be around. Thanks so much ✨

Third time visiting the distillery but first time doing the blending experience. Every occasion has been special in its own right. Today we experienced some seriously educated minds finding us very tasty whiskies and great company - great laughs from Roy and Craig well done to you both and many thanks
