We’ll start our day with a visit to Dolac, Zagreb’s oldest and most iconic market, where you’ll experience the vibrant atmosphere, discover traditional products, and learn about local customs. From there, we’ll take a short five-minute stroll to our culinary studio, where everything will be set for an unforgettable culinary adventure. Guided by culinary expert, you’ll prepare three traditional Croatian dishes—an appetizer, a main course, and a dessert—each representing a different region of the country. Once the cooking is done, you’ll sit back and savor your freshly prepared dishes, perfectly paired with authentic Croatian wine.

5.00The morning begins with a guided tour of the market - very interesting & informative, with great stories & insights into culture and historical context. The cooking school is nearby and Karmela led us through the steps to produce a delicious 3 course lunch with local wine. One of the highlights of our 4 day trip to Zagreb - highly recommended!

5.00Kamala was wonderful! Our group of 3 couples thoroughly enjoyed the walk through Dolac market and then the very hands on cooking class back in her studio. She was knowledgeable, fun and very prepared and organized. Well worth the cost. Great way to start our trip in Croatia and Zagreb.

5.00Karmela was a fantastic guide through the market! She gave lots if great info about the vendors, their products, and the history of the place. We rode the tram back to her apartment where she guides us through a three-course meal, while her adorable cat kept watch. The food was very tasty and the conversation was fun. This is a wonderful way to learn a few things while getting to know Zagreb a little more intimately.

Karmela's knowledge of provenance and origin of the food & wine of the region, the origins of Dolac and the market place and the quality of its market food being showcased in the cooking experience itself and then being able to sit down and savour it... this is a MUST DO experience and was a wonderful way to kick off our Croatian holiday! Thank you Karmela and a 6/5 experience. We cannot wait to try out the restaurant recommendations 🙏🙏

5.00This is a must do for any foodie! We had already done a food tour with Karmela two days earlier, so we knew this was going to be special. The kitchen is amazing and everything is made from scratch with quality ingredients and traditional methods. Karmela is a wonderful cook, host and local Croatian. The class goes for 4-hours and the three course meal and wine is superb. As with the food tour, if I could, I would give this cooking class 7 stars, it is an experience that we will never forget and will always remember Zagreb fondly because of Karmela.

5.00We enjoyed our cooking class so much! It was very interesting to see Dolac market with a local guiding us and it was a great way to experience the culture of the city. Karmela was so kind and informative throughout the experience. We loved the recipes she chose and thought they were very authentic. She is very knowledgable about food and the different cuisines in the different regions of Croatia. We would absolutely recommend this tour and is a great way to start your exploration of Croatia
