Wonderful Rooftop View of Lyon and an exquisite/informative cooking class. Joelle was our tour guide through the neighborhood market. We returned back to her home where we shared in cooking techniques, French cooking terminology, and friendly banter. Recipes will very depending on requests, allergies, and availability. She catered to our dietary restrictions (pescatarian) and was very thoughtful in guiding our cooking process. It was a splendid time and we look forward to spending time with her in the future. She has a great list of places to visit as tourists, vendor recommendations, and foodie spots. Overall, excellent resource for Lyonnaise cuisine, specialty's, and wine recommendations. Thank you for a truly wonderful experience.

The entire experience was amazing. Joelle was a wonderful host and instructor. The day started at the market, which goes for many blocks, with the most wonderful ingredients. We then went to the butcher and cheese shop. All of the recipes are approachable, so you can do them at home. Joelle guided us, but was not intrusive as we made the meal. We then sat to eat together and it felt more like having dinner at a friend's home. And... speaking of her home. The rooftop terrace view is remarkable. We could see all the way to the Alps. Thank you, Joelle!

This was the perfect activity to kick off our visit to Lyon. Joelle, her husband and her dog were extremely knowledgeable, gracious, and charming hosts, and we thoroughly enjoyed the shopping and cooking experience in their beautiful home. Spending the day with Joelle was truly special. Prepping and cooking our meal with her cheerful guidance was so much fun. When going to the market with Joelle we felt like locals, as she and we were warmly greeted by each purveyor. Then the six of us (my wife, our friends and another couple) and Joelle sat down to the absolutely wonderful meal and a great bottle of wine on her beautiful terrace, with an amazing 360-degree view of Lyon! We all agreed that it is a day we will remember. We recommend that if you're coming to Lyon, take the opportunity to spend this time with Joelle. It was truly a highlight of our time in France.

It was amazing! Fun to cook in true Lyonnaise style, and we enjoyed the farmer's market experience and lovely meal on the awesome terrace with the host and her neighbor. Definitely recommend.

A wonderful experience. Excellent food. The recipes were easy to follow and can easily be made again at home. The visit to the market and shops was great fun even on a hot day. Our host Joelle was easy to talk to and knowledgeable. The view from Joelle’s terrace was, as they say in French, magnifique!

Excellent all around! From picking our food at the local market to preparing it - to eating it on a beautiful rooftop - delightfully watching school children on the playground, and of course, our wonderful, personable chef prepare and serve the meal with us made a perfect afternoon! Highly recommended!
