Joelle, her husband and her dog were extremely knowledgeable, gracious, and charming hosts, and we thoroughly enjoyed the shopping and cooking experience in their beautiful home. 5.00Spending the day with Joelle was truly special. Prepping and cooking our meal with her cheerful guidance was so much fun. When going to the market with Joelle we felt like locals, as she and we were warmly greeted by each purveyor. Then the six of us (my wife, our friends and another couple) and Joelle sat down to the absolutely wonderful meal and a great bottle of wine on her beautiful terrace, with an amazing 360-degree view of Lyon! We all agreed that it is a day we will remember. We recommend that if you're coming to Lyon, take the opportunity to spend this time with Joelle. It was truly a highlight of our time in France.

5.00It was amazing! Fun to cook in true Lyonnaise style, and we enjoyed the farmer's market experience and lovely meal on the awesome terrace with the host and her neighbor. Definitely recommend.

5.00A wonderful experience. Excellent food. The recipes were easy to follow and can easily be made again at home. The visit to the market and shops was great fun even on a hot day. Our host Joelle was easy to talk to and knowledgeable. The view from Joelle’s terrace was, as they say in French, magnifique!

From picking our food at the local market to preparing it - to eating it on a beautiful rooftop - delightfully watching school children on the playground, and of course, our wonderful, personable chef prepare and serve the meal with us made a perfect afternoon! Highly recommended!

5.00This cooking class experience was the absolute highlight of our trip to Lyon. Joelle and her husband (who speak English quite well) were so lovely, kind, and patient with our group (myself, my best friend, and our daughters). We started off with our recipes and once we had our main dishes in the oven to cook, we walked to a nearby outdoor market to buy more fresh ingredients (which was an awesome trip with Joelle as she pointed out local delicacies and places worth visiting). Upon our return we finished making our meal and enjoyed it with some delicious red wine on their balcony. The view was amazing from the rooftop - you can see almost all of Lyon from there!! And - Joelle emailed us the recipes so we could return home and make the yummy dishes for our own families! I can not recommend this experience enough :) it was so fun!

5.00Lovely experience to learn first hand some very fine French cuisine. Cooking a full meal from appetizers to desserts. Non-rushed and comfortable ambiance coupled with a spectacular hilltop view of Lyon. Instructor is very friendly and a knowledgeable cook
