Welcome to Tahiti Safari Islander,
We will go to the heart of the island of Tahiti. You will be able to see beautiful mountains, waterfalls and natural pools.
You can enjoy a beautiful panorama while sitting in a new and comfortable 4x4 open to the sky and equipped with local music in the back. If the weather is nice we will go swimming in the natural pools and if it rains we will be able to appreciate the multitude of waterfalls. We are waiting for you to help you discover this Polynesian treasure.
BE CAREFUL the road is very uneven.
There are 37 km to cover in the mountains. The road is not cemented, not tarred. If you don't feel able to do it, please do another quieter excursion like the tour of the island of Tahiti
To take :
- napkins
- something to swim in
- mosquito repellent,
- Slippers, flip flops (no shoes)
- raincoats
For noon we will stop at a bakery to take food and drink. (Not included).

5.00This was a very fun excursion. You see the whole center of the island which is really difficult to get to on your own. Our guide was friendly and funny. The ride was super bumpy once you go into the island, so we were standing for about 5h on the truck - a bit exhausting but worth the adventure! There's not really any walking around, so we came in flip flops and light clothing that was okay to get wet (no cover).

5.00Excursion in a beautiful landscape, wild and lush vegetation. A guide who knows his country and its history very well and who knows how to tell them to us. A very friendly atmosphere at the back of the 4x4 where we live to the rhythm of potholes.

4.00Not recommended if physically fragile, as several hours standing on the seats holding on well with hands. But a real pleasure to see these landscapes. A 4*4 adventure that we recommend. Climate trpical so rain is always possible, but we dry quickly 😀. One regret, a few short stops, we had time...

5.00Loved the tour, one of the best. The stop to buy lunch was a bakery. Excellent sandwiches and pastries and very reasonable, took cash or credit cards. Guides were very knowledgeable. Close to 8 hour tour. We rode through the middle of the island which was amazing. So glad we did it. Highly recommend even though it was very very bumpy at times it was so much fun as that was part of the fun. Please read the description if you have balance issues or back problems or physically impaired you may want to avoid. Most of my photos were too large to download.

5.00It has already been said, but be prepared for a very rocky, strenuous ride. Sometimes you bump the handrails with your ribs, and your knees and ankles have to work to keep your balance. But, it is a great way to see parts of the island you would never see.
