The expedition starts on the East coast. You will get to the heart of the island by exploring the main crater in the Papenoo Valley. There get ready to discover the lush vegetation of Tahiti with its giant ferns and colorful plants. You will cross rivers, view impressive waterfalls and pure mountain streams. During the tour, time will be given for lunch (at your own expenses) while looking at the marvelous panorama of the valley. Visit archeological sites and learn more about the local flora and fauna. Way back to your hotel after this great experience.

Very nice day. Beautiful scenery, impressive road, interesting exchanges with Karl our guide who wants to share his culture and knowledge about the country. Cherry on the cake, songs with ukulele.
Best way to see interior of Tahiti

Overall this was a good experience that allowed us to see the awesome interior of the island. I took this excursion with my wife during our honeymoon and we traveled with a German & French couple who were very friendly (we are Americans). The only downsides to the tour were it was very bumpy (which we didn’t mind, but my wife bumped her head a couple times). Additionally the guide seemed to care too much about my opinion on how the tour was going and didn’t learn anyone else’s names - I’m assuming working for the “American tip”?. Lastly the tour lasted 1 hour beyond when it should’ve ended and our German friends almost missed their dinner reservation because of this. Overall it was a good time and I’d recommend, just wear river shoes, a swimsuit and a rash guard.

Exceptional day in the heart of the island with Loana. Loana is a person with a heart on her hand, caring and who shares her culture and knowledge of her island with passion! The ride is superb with several explanatory stops and photos. Really a great memory, you can go there with your eyes closed, it is a must on Tahiti. Thanks again Loana!
