Join our boutique small boat cruise and experience Milford Sound the "local" way.
We limit passenger numbers on all cruises to half of the boats capacity (capacity 150 passengers) to guarantee an uncrowded and much more personal experience.
Let us show you our backyard on this once in a lifetime experience.
Relax with complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits and enjoy the skipper’s live commentary while marvelling at the breath-taking scenery.
The smaller size of the vessel enables us to get you up close and personal with the local wildlife like New Zealand Fur Seals, dolphins and the very rare Fiordland Crested Penguin (spring/early summer). A “Glacial Facial” under the Sterling Falls is an experience not to be missed.

The main car park at Milford Sound costs $10 per hour. Payment can be made at payment stations on site. This Car park area is approximately a 10 minute walk to the Milford Sound Visitor Terminal building.
A free car park is available on the corner of Milford Road and Deepwater basin, the walk from here to the Milford Sound Visitor Terminal building will take approximately 40min.
Disability Parking can be found outside the main Milford Sound Visitor Terminal and is wheelchair accessible.

The best thing about Milford Sound Cruises is that the weather doesn’t matter! On a sunny day, it is beautiful and on a wet day it is spectacular! Fiordland has some of the worlds highest waterfalls and they are a popular feature of Milford Sound. In all weather, you will see water cascading down massive cliffs into the sea. Milford Sound is in the Fiordland National Park, which is part of the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site which covers 26,000km² and encompassing four national parks. It is widely considered to be one of the World’s top travel destinations. At Cruise Milford we know that you will have a wonderful and truly memorable day out on your Milford Sound cruise. 5.00We have had two cruises with Cruise Milford in the space of one week. The first one was a day trip and cruise from Te Anau. The second one was cruise only from Milford Sounds this morning. I found their staff were very friendly and experienced lots of personal touches in their services, such as Matt's offering to take family photos for us. The icing on the cake today was the skipper drove the boat up close to the Stirling Falls, my husband got his iconic photo shoots while my children and I enjoyed the waterblast from the Fall. Thank you so much a memorable experience, Team Cruise Milford!

4.00Great small boat experience, it was raining but that made all the waterfalls start, it was spectacular. We got really close to the seals on the rocks and saw dolphins.

5.00Our guide, Sacha, did a great job. We stopped along the way to Milford Sound with super stories and background about the area. Our cruise on sound was terrific with a delicious sack lunch, nice ship and good captain. We had a few more stops on the way home and ended the day with a showing of the Fiordland movie (optional).

5.00Beautiful day, beautiful experience! We enjoyed the great landscape at the sounds, saw seals and penguins, and got splashed at the Stirling falls. A very cozy, small group cruise, plenty of room for every one! Friendly crew. Highly recommended!

5.00What a fabulous morning cruise in Milford Sound! The boat was not crowded so there was plenty of space to view the scenery as we passed by, which was outstanding, with lots of waterfalls due to recent rain. The commentary while we cruised was interesting and informative and the tea coffee and biscuits were welcome. Would definitely recommend this tour.

5.00The ship was a good size with enough seating and because of the size of the ship it was able to get up close to all of the key vantage points. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. The tour was about the right length and was value for money.
