Milford Sound
The best thing about Milford Sound Cruises is that the weather doesn’t matter! On a sunny day, it is beautiful and on a wet day it is spectacular! Fiordland has some of the worlds highest waterfalls and they are a popular feature of Milford Sound. In all weather, you will see water cascading down massive cliffs into the sea. Milford Sound is in the Fiordland National Park, which is part of the Te Wahipounamu World Heritage site which covers 26,000km² and encompassing four national parks. It is widely considered to be one of the World’s top travel destinations. At Cruise Milford we know that you will have a wonderful and truly memorable day out on your Milford Sound cruise. We love sharing the natural beauty of this special place to visitors and your captain will inform you about the Sound, it’s history and wildlife.

Chris and Faye were absolutely wonderful hosts for our cruise experience, extremely knowledgeable and genuinely wanted everyone to have the best experience possible. We booked this cruise for its small numbers, as we didn’t want to be dodging people trying to see the highlights. We were very fortunate that we arrived very early and were able to switch our booking to the earlier time, meaning we didn’t have a long wait. We ended up on a cruise that was only about 25% capacity and it couldn’t have been better. The weather was very wet but there was plenty of indoor seating and warm beverages for those not wanting to be out in the elements. For the rest of us, Faye even took photos as we got drenched under the waterfall, pointed out the penguins and seals and gave us lots of interesting information as we observed the scenery. Chris our skipper kept us entertained with commentary, and we loved chatting with him while watching from the bridge. Overall this was everything we were hoping for in our Milford cruise experience, I definitely recommend this tour.
