Join our boutique small boat cruise and experience Milford Sound the "local" way.
We limit passenger numbers on all cruises to half of the boats capacity (capacity 150 passengers) to guarantee an uncrowded and much more personal experience.
Let us show you our backyard on this once in a lifetime experience.
Relax with complimentary coffee, tea and biscuits and enjoy the skipper’s live commentary while marvelling at the breath-taking scenery.
The smaller size of the vessel enables us to get you up close and personal with the local wildlife like New Zealand Fur Seals, dolphins and the very rare Fiordland Crested Penguin (spring/early summer). A “Glacial Facial” under the Sterling Falls is an experience not to be missed.

The main car park at Milford Sound costs $10 per hour. Payment can be made at payment stations on site. This Car park area is approximately a 10 minute walk to the Milford Sound Visitor Terminal building.
A free car park is available on the corner of Milford Road and Deepwater basin, the walk from here to the Milford Sound Visitor Terminal building will take approximately 40min.
Disability Parking can be found outside the main Milford Sound Visitor Terminal and is wheelchair accessible.

5.00I loved the fact that we could move around the boat easily and see everything that was being announced. It was so spacious. The staff were around to ask any questions we had and they had great information to offer. They offered to take photos of us on more than one occasion. There were seats inside and outside and tea, coffee and biscuits was available whenever you wanted it. Matej was able to answer my questions about a couple of the waterfalls and I found the information he gave very interesting. He also offered to take photos of our family. All the staff were very friendly. We loved going very close to the waterfall (close enough to get wet), and getting very close to the seals playing on the rocks.

5.00The trip is as advertised, one of the smaller boats in the marina so not hundreds of people aboard but still plenty of space for everyone to see the sights. As well as the two permanent waterfalls, there were others around at the time as well. We saw four seals and some dolphins as well. Good time had by all.

5.00We went on this trip yesterday. We opted for the package where you are picked up from your accommodation in Te Anau and lunch is provided. Our guide Sacha was great - informative, interesting and a safe driver. We were impressed that she remembered everyone's name too! We visited several places on the way to Milford Sound and Sacha gave us background information on the areas we passed through. The cruise itself was wonderful and we even saw penguins, dolphins and fur seals as an unexpected bonus. Our captain was Roger who provided an interesting commentary. We were lucky to have a beautiful sunny day with calm waters. The provided lunch was delicious too!

5.00Very scenic and lasted an hour and 45 minutes. Boat was not too big or crowded. Operator provided some helpful commentary but not too much talking. Approached a few spots for a closer view, which was enjoyable.

5.00Given the location you’d have to try hard to score less than 4.5/5 anyway to be honest but this was just excellent. The scenery is magical come rain or shine , it’s simply stunning. The narration from the skipper was excellent so you do actually learn something, and the staff on board were happy to talk or oblige with taking photos etc. Our trip was early at 09:45 and there were only about 20 people on board so there was all the space you’d ever need. Hard to see how anyone would regret booking this trip. Well done Cruise Milford.

5.00I can really recommend this tour. We liked the fact that it was a small group. Our guide Stephen was very friendly and knowledgeable. We had plenty of stops for photos, one included a drink of hot chocolate/tea/coffee. The packed lunch was excellent. We never felt rushed and it was very relaxing being able to leave it all up to Stephen to get us to the boat in time for the cruise.
