We were on a cruise and decided to try the Hop on hop off wine tours. We jumped on the 10:30am bus and we had the best day ever. We had tastings at Hunters, lunch at Saint Clair which was delicious followed by tastings, went to the chocolate factory. There was multiple returns back so we got to choose when we wanted to return back. Would recommend 100% !!!!!

This is the WORST TOUR my family and I have taken in our entire touring life. We always book tours from TripAdvisor/Viator in all our travels. First of all, the tour description itself is deceiving and it is not worth the money you pay. But the most horrible part of this tour is that the tour operator/owner was very very rude. Since this seems different from the other previous HOHO tour we have done in the past, I was asking questions/clarification on how this tour actually works. The owner herself was rude in her response and told me that she have already answered my questions and that I should not be talking to the driver even though minibus have not moved yet from the parking area (we are literally still parked and not moving). She was very rude, reprimanded me, and embarrassed me in front of all the other passengers in the minibus. Some passengers commented that she did not have to talk to me in a rude and condescending way. After the tour, I approached her and told her how embarrassed I was with the way she treated me and instead of apologizing, she accused me of being the one rude to her. I was never been rude to her at all! Please, DO NOT EVER EVER book a tour with this company!!! You will regret it!!! You are better off booking a tour from your cruise ship than going with this company. Other guest also commented that this tour was BAD and not worth the money they paid!!!

When travelling via cruise ship, your time is limited. Although it looks like there are many places to stop, you really can only stop at 3 or 4 locations, you Definitely need reservations for tastings and lunch. The buses were timely and drivers friendly.

Super efficient way to get around the wineries. Time can creep up on you so suggest planning out if you do not want to miss anything. My longest stop was at spy valley as the place has the most serence atmosphere and keep this place for a nice platter to go with your wine.

What a great, relaxing way to see the NZ wine region. The divers were knowledgeable and down to earth. A nice variety of stops to try. Highly recommend!

We had a great using the Hop On Hop Of bus, visiting our chosen sites with ease. We chose 4 venues which was omfortably enough. The retuning buses were often full but everyone got home!
