5.00Such a fantastic day! From the detailed instructions on where to go when we got off our cruise ship to the full day of learning about the area in an air conditioned drive to all of the places we wanted to visit! We were lucky enough to have Alfredo as our guide and he was the best!!!! We were a family of 6 with varied interests and we all had a great day with Alfredo!

5.00We had a fantastic tour guide Elda the best ever so nice and fun. Very informative on our tour of Roatan we visited the chocolate factory, rum factory and a few other places we had the tour guide all to ourselves nothing was to much trouble she let us pick whatever we wanted to do . You’d be very lucky if you got Elda as your guide.(tucan tours)

5.00We had an excellent overall experience; got exactly what we we wanted out of this tour. Having private tour we were able to decide what stops we want to make and time we want to spend. Diana was an excellent driver and tour guide. She has intimate knowledge of the island and took us all the way around. We stopped briefly for Chocolate and Rum experience however what we enjoyed most is driving around and seeing this beautiful island. West End was particularly charming! Stopped at other sites to grab pictures. Diana also gave us a lot of information about the island, people and society. She was ready when we got there and kind enough to bring the car to us from her parking farther away. Did not push for any type of shopping or other locations; left it up to us. Hopefully you will get her as a driver. Finally, it was a great value because we ended up paying about the same per person for 2 people as we would have in a group tour.

5.00Just got back from a cruise with my favorite excursion being a private tour of Roatan with our driver Allan Woods. We saw monkeys and sloths, visited the rum distillery, chocolate factory, West Beach and had a great lunch in a restaurant Allan suggested that had awesome food and amazing views. Allan not only drove just my husband and I around in an extremely comfortable, clean, air conditioned van but he opened doors, carried packages and made sure our chocolate didn’t melt in the heat of the day. It was so much nicer to have an extremely attentive personal driver who answered all of our questions without having to deal with a bus full of tourists on a hot humid day. He stopped whenever we saw something that we wanted to do and he would wait patiently for us. We learned so much more about the history and culture of the island without having to deal with climbing on/off an overcrowded hot tour bus. Would highly recommend Allan with Roatan Tucan Adventures!!!!

His knowledge of the area and local culture added great depth to the experience. Iran was always helpful and attentive, ensuring everything ran smoothly throughout the trip. 5.00We came to Roatan for the first time in December (8-13). We had the run of the place. The beaches are beautiful and snorkling is amazing. The price of food greatly varies and if you walk the beach, you can find some good spots. We stayed at the Kimpton which was amazing. We hired a driver ($25/pp per day) which seemed very cheap and he took us all over the island and especially to where the locals hang out. We will come back.

5.00My sister and I had a fantastic time on our tour. Our ship arrived ahead of schedule and we got to the gate 30 minutes early, but our tour guide, Samantha, was already there waiting. The directions to the gate were a little confusing but it's not the tour company's fault - the port is laid out confusingly. But there's lot of people giving directions, and if you tell all the people selling excursions that you've already booked, they immediately back off. When we got to the gate it was mobbed with tour guides but they asked who we were booked with and worked together to help us find our guide, and to get us across the road safely - I was impressed with all of them. Samantha was very nice and we enjoyed chatting with her throughout our tour. It was very rainy at first, so she took us to a nice lookout where we waited for the rain to pass. She took us to a new chocolate factory which was nice but didn't seem quite fully-open yet so she took us to her preferred chocolate factory. Apparently we were supposed to get a free picture for spending $x on our purchase, and when the cashier didn't offer it to us, Samantha jumped in and made sure it happened. We also went to a nice Rum shop with another great view. Samantha was very flexible and willing to take us wherever we wanted to go (lunch if we wanted, etc.). And since we mostly just wanted to see the island and the views, she drove us all around. It was a very pleasant few hours. We're so glad we booked this tour with Roatan Tucan Adventures instead of going through the cruise line.
