Your journey begins in Quito at Hotel Blu, where you will board an overnight tourist bus heading to the Amazon. Upon arrival at Cuyabeno Bridge, the gateway to the reserve and the last point of civilization, your naturalist guide will welcome you before starting a scenic motorized canoe ride along the Cuyabeno River. During the 2.5-hour journey, keep an eye out for herons, kingfishers, macaws, monkeys, and other wildlife hidden within the lush rainforest. Upon arrival at Nicky Amazon Lodge, enjoy a welcome cocktail, settle into your room, and relax before lunch. In the afternoon, venture to Laguna Grande to explore the flooded Igapó forest by canoe, followed by a refreshing swim as the sun sets over the Amazon. As night falls, continue with a search for nocturnal species like caimans and bats before returning to the lodge for dinner and a briefing of the days ahead. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner

Begin the day with an early morning activity in the heart of the Amazon, immersing yourself in the sounds and rhythms of the jungle as it comes to life. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, set out on an exploration by canoe or on foot, venturing deeper into the rainforest. Along the way, your expert guide will reveal the secrets of medicinal plants used by indigenous cultures for generations, offering insight into the natural pharmacy of the jungle. After the excursion, return to the lodge to enjoy lunch and a well-deserved rest. In the afternoon, head back onto the Cuyabeno River by canoe, drifting through serene waterways surrounded by dense vegetation while searching for exotic wildlife. As the day winds down, take in the peaceful atmosphere of the Amazon before returning to the lodge for dinner. Meals: Breakfast - Lunch - Dinner

Start the day early with a unique paddle canoe birdwatching experience, where the sounds of the jungle awaken around you and colorful Amazonian species can be spotted in their natural habitat. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, continue your exploration with another canoe journey to the Siona indigenous community. Here, you will engage in authentic cultural exchanges, learning how to harvest yuca and prepare traditional cassava bread, a staple of the region. This hands-on experience offers a deeper understanding of ancestral traditions and daily life in the Amazon. Enjoy a typical homemade lunch with the community before heading back to the lodge for some rest. In the afternoon, venture into the jungle on a guided walk, discovering insects, spiders, tree frogs, and other fascinating small creatures that reveal the richness of this ecosystem. Start your final day with an early morning canoe excursion, gliding through the peaceful waters of the Amazon as the jungle slowly awakens. This peaceful moment offers one last opportunity to spot wildlife in its natural habitat, from birds to monkeys hidden among the trees. After returning to the lodge for breakfast, take some time to pack and prepare for departure. Check-out is scheduled at 8:30 am. Before leaving, enjoy a small farewell snack as you begin your journey back along the Cuyabeno River. Arriving at Cuyabeno Bridge around 10:30 am, your experience concludes with a comfortable tourist bus transfer back to Quito, giving you time to reflect on the unforgettable moments, connections, and discoveries made deep in the Amazon rainforest. 5.00We went at the beginning of March, and it rained only once moderately during the four days. This meant we were out exploring nature as early as 6.30 am. Our group consisted of eight congenial individuals, all passionate nature lovers and travelers, which made excursions and meal times interesting and enjoyable. The rain forest immersion began as soon as our motor canoe entered the forest. From now on, we were surrounded by the sounds of insects, calls of birds and mammals, flowers, enticing smells, dense foliage, and, of course, wildlife: different species of apes, caimans (regular and black), pink dolphins (in a lagoon), snakes, huge spiders, and more. The camouflage of some of these animals is so perfect that I occasionally looked directly at an animal without seeing it -- until five fingers pointed at it, and it moved! I also liked the dramatic after-dark canoe rides during which insects, large bats, and night birds were exposed in the guide's beam of light. And at the end of the day the spoils of civilization seemed twice as sweet (although our showers never got warm). Our guide, Rom, was fantastic.

5.00A friend of mine and I had a very good time, booking the trip and communicating with the agency was easy, the stay was very pleasant. The lodge in Fotestabamazzonica was very nice and respectful of the environment, the staff were friendly and the food was excellent.

5.00A sublime stay, filled with wonder! We went to 8 to discover this nature reserve in the jungle and we came back with stars in our eyes!! Thanks to Riwal who advised us this trip and organized everything for us! We'll call on him again!

5.00Amazing experience of the Amazon rainforest with Nicky Amazon Lodge. Our guide Jefferson was very knowledgable and wonderful, we saw so many animals indluding different species of monkeys, birds, reptiles, and even dolphins! The food was great fresh meals everyday.

5.00One of the best experiences we had in Ecuador. We had the chance to live a unique experience in the Amazon in Cuyabeno. We saw in the jungle monkeys, many birds, insects and snakes! Not to mention the really sublime vegetation. If it were to be done again, we will return without hesitation.
