The Euganean Hills are a group of hills of volcanic origin that rise to heights of 300 to 600 m from the Padovan-Venetian plain a few km south of Venice.
Accompanied by the Local Tour Leader you will enter the heart of the Euganean Hills to discover, thanks to the visit in two renowned wineries of the Euganean territory, the best wine production in the area. Here the particular volcanic origin of the soil and the good climate allows the cultivation of various vines. Among the white wines: the Serprino, biotype of the Glera vine, is the “volcanic” version of Prosecco; the Pinot bianco; the Garganega, the Chardonnay and Manzoni. Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Carmènere have found space among the reds.
Between a walk through the vineyards, a visit to the cellar and several wine tastings paired with typical local products we will listen to the wise tale of the winemakers about the expressions of their best wines.

Very good, but more oil and wine than hills

5.00The tour “Olive oil and wine in the Euganean Hills” was perfectly organized and well executed. Our driver/guide Nicola was not only very charming and good humored, but also did an excellent job, particularly explaining the different types of oil we tasted and how to make use of our sensory equipment. The winery we visited thereafter was well chosen – a nice family-owned business that produces remarkable wines. The daughter of the family – an enologist herself – took us around and made the tasting an interesting experience. The drive itself to the oil mill and the vineyards was a little disappointing, as we did not see much of the hills: on the way out, we drove endlessly along a channel in the plains, and on the way back it was already dark. All in all, it was time and money well spent, we enjoyed the trip, and we can fully recommend LoVivo.

5.00This is a beautiful drive in the countryside in an area of Italy most tourists never see. The wine tasting was wonderful and very engaging. The driver was friendly and helpful. He grew up in the area so he was very informative.

5.00Our first trip to Italy did not disappoint. We had Nico as our driver and he was amazing. Very conversational, taught us a bit of history of the area, and pointed out a few beautiful locations where we were able to see fantastic views from the hilltops. If we come back to Padua, we will definitely ask for Nico again.

5.00When there are wonderful things close to home, but you don't know it! My husband and I wanted to spend special moments together, but without committing to long trips. We found this tour and booked on the fly. The guys of the agency cute, the guy who accompanied us as well. Super nice. The tour is well organized, also suitable for those who do not have skills on wines because you are always accompanied .. but above all the locations are beautiful. We will book again some other experience, it's worth it!!

5.00We left Rome to visit the wonder of the Euganean hills and thanks to Lo Vivo we experienced unforgettable days. The tastings were taken care of in every detail and accompanied by a breathtaking view. It was a real sensory journey and to make it even richer were the nice chats shared with our companion Nicola. 5.00We had a lovely wine tasting tour to two very different vineyards, a modern one and a more traditional one. We loved the wines we got to taste there. And not to forget the amazing view at the first one and the tatsy cold cuts at the other one. And a big shout out to our guides, who were not only good informed, but also really funny and kind! Thanks for a great day and for the tips for the rest of our stay in Padua!

5.00The tour was great thanks to Chiara, our fabulous guide, who knows well the area, drives quietly and can speak English, Italian and Spanish. We enjoyed a peaceful day, far from busy cities, and we visited twoo wineries to discover the secrets of this wine and taste it. Wonderful tour!

5.00Chiara took us to visit two wonderful wine producers who were very passionate about their products. It was nice to be able to taste a few bottles but above all, to know a little more about how the grapes are processed! And above all, to interact with such generous winegrowers! Chiara was a great guide, we really enjoyed spending time with her!

5.00I went on this tour with my husband for our honeymoon and we had the absolute best time with Martina. She was so knowledgeable and passionate about teaching us the history of the region. We learned so much! And of course the wine that we had at all the local vineyards was amazing. Would highly recommend this tour!
