While in Cairns we took a day trip with Billy Tea Safaris to the Daintree Rainforest and Cape Teibulation. It was a wonderful experience. the day included a river cruise, a nice luncheon after a swim in the river, a long walk in the rainforest and a visit to the beaches at Cape Tribulation. We even saw a cassowary in the wild. A great day of seeing Australian nature.

Tour was well organised and took us to a lot of key places in the area. Our guide, Andy, was very knowledgeable and kept us informed throughout the day. We weren't very lucky with our animal spotting but we still had a great experience. And lunch and ice cream were delicious.

Overall my leaat favorite tour i had done in all of australia. The first viewpoint was the best thing about it after that it all went downhill. Dont go in the summer. First the river cruise didnt see any crocs. Also only 45 mins when advertises as an hour. Then the swimming hole was probably the saddest thing ive seen in australia. Conviently located a 2 min walk away from lunch. Food was okay no issues. Next unless you really care about plants and mangroves the boardwalks offer nothing visually enticing. Then the stop at cape tribulation, better sticking to just the town of Cairn way better view without the long drive. Who cares about ice cream when the rest of the trip was mundane.

Professional communication before event. Pickup on time. AJ gave a warm greeting and helped us get to know who we travelled with. AJ kept us updated on the weather for the best fun we could have at each stop. Really knowledgeable guide for flora and fauna. It was a perfect day even with the weather. Great fun.

This was a wonderful way to explore Daintree, with a river cruise, a walk through the rainforest and mangrove, plus time to spend on a beautiful beach. To top it all, we had the most delicious exotic ice cream on the way back. We travelled in a small group in a 4x4 vehicle and our guide and driver, Daniel, was interesting and informative. All in all, a trip not to be missed.

Its going to be bumpy ride, The roads are not kind to the tosh and i mean that, make sure to take an anti sickness tablet too i wish i had. This experience was a good day out with lots of plants and animals to see the only negative things I found were if you didnt want to swim there wasn't much to do if not. Just pot around waiting to move on to the next thing. If you want a rainforest walk this is the tour to do.

I liked the itinerary, starting with the river cruise looking for crocs, we saw some baby ones. Stopped at a scenic viewpoint. Next we went to the lunch spot where people could swim in a creek by the rainforest. The rainforest walk was great and we learned a lot from our guide about it. The photo opportunity at cape tribulation beach were awesome. Ending the tour on the orchard with exotic fruit ice cream was perfect.
