5.00I had the option to choose several distilleries in the Highlands and chose this one because it seemed authentic without so many people (there were 10) and showing something different, chocolates. The price was similar to others. We liked the distillery, secluded and with clearly differentiated areas and informational posters in several languages. For 45 minutes we were given a tour and then the tasting of three whiskey with three different types of chocolate. At the end they gave us a souvenir glass. The guide tried to make the explanation easier to understand and the information he gave us was fair and necessary.

5.00We booked this distillery tour last minute whilst staying near Aviemore. We've driven past Dalwhinnie lots of times, but this occasion decided to head to it specifically. It was odd to see so many different whiskys on sale, but this didn't detract from the tour. Unlike other distillery tours, there were three to taste at the end, alongside some very posh chocolates - a first for us. Ethan, our guide, was very personable and knowledgeable about both Dalwhinnie distillery, and whisky in general. His tasting hosting was first class and there was no snobbery of any particular sniffing or tasting techniques, which we've experienced at other distilleries in the past. We did buy both whisky and the exceptional chocolates which compliant the whisky. Thank you all.
