Private guided day trip with OPEN BOAT (excursion boat) to the Danube Delta. Besides crossing the area of Danube Delta, by nature wild and full of life, you'll go Letea Sand Island, to see the famous wild horses in the Letea Forest and discover the most well conserved village in the area, Letea.
The guide
A trip to the Danube Delta has no charm without a guide. The guide is the one making difference between a succesful trip, full of informations and a dull ride with a boat driver. All our guides are members of AGPDD (Danube Delta Professional Guide Association).
The boat
The boat you’ll go is an open boat, equipped with banquets with backrest and cushions for highest possible comfort, with high stability and safety. The boat is used only for tourism. Everyone in the boat will receive a lifejacket. The boat is suitable for groups up 5 pers.

Letea Forest is the oldest natural reservation in Romania. Established in 1938 and located between the Sulina and Chilia branches of Danube in the Danube Delta, it covers an area of approximately 2,825 ha (6,980 acres).

2.00A tourist trap. It is similarly unspectacular in Ratinger Forest. Drive through the Delta by Boat is worth it, but not the pseudo-safari.

5.00We had an absolutely great day trip with "Discover Danube Delta" and can fully recommend this provider! Our guide was just fantastic. Not only did he answer all our questions in detail, but he was incredibly attentive, showing us all the animals we could wish for – from majestic pelicans and eagles to rare gold jackals, elegant cormorants, colourful kingfishers and wild horses. He also explained a lot of interesting things about the Danube Delta and its unique nature. The traditional lunch was super delicious and a real highlight of the day. And the boat was perfect for our tour: Without a roof, we could observe and photograph the birds and the landscape even better.

5.00Florin was very personable and accommodating. He is a biologist by training and knew the plant species we encountered, not to mention an expert ornithologist. Plus, he’s just a great guy!

5.00Excellent agency, which organized us 3 days and 2 nights in the Danube Delta. Pick-up by a Guide at Check-out from Tulcea after a short trip from the agency manager in FRENCH. Excellent Guide (Marius) very friendly, listening to people and very competent. Great day trip to the delta. Thank you very much 😉

5.00Favorite part : the whole trip!! We discovered Danube Delta it was an absolute trip, feom early morning till near sunset on stupendous channels, speechless,...also the tour guide exquisite. We will never forget and by all means come back. Thank you.
It was a great day in an incredibly beautiful landscape that allowed us to discover Danube Delta.

5.00The exploration tour with Discover Danube Delta more than met our expectations. Although we had an error in the payment and therefore the booking was not complete, they spontaneously looked for a guide and still made the tour possible. Super flexible and customer friendly. The ride itself was totally informative and we could see many unique birds and their breeding grounds thanks to the competent guide. Once in Letea there are delicious fish dishes in huge portions, what its money is really worth. All in all, the landscape of the Danube Delta is a strong recommendation for any naturalist and Discover Danube Delta makes the ride unforgettable. A little tip: Take sunglasses with you, as with so much water the sun's rays can be extremely glare.

5.00We did 2 single day trips. One to Letea Forest via Mila 23 and one to thr Medieval Fortresses and back to Bucharest. Our time on the Danube Delta was second to none. Migration season happened late this year and there were SO many birds, it was unbelievable. We are not into bird watching, but watching this migration was truly amazing, we really enjoyed it! Riding on the Delta was also an awesome experience! Lunch in Letea was a once in a lifetime experience and brought me back to my childhood when my Great Grandma would make gogoşi! An unforgettable trip, we highly recommend! Our second day was a trip to 3 medieval fortresses. I have been to many before, so I have seen better preserved and better explanation, but it was still an enjoyable relaxed (but long trip back to Bucharest) day. We really enjoyed the Lake side picnic prepared for us and seeing the ancient ruins! Highly recommend this company, they will do anything to make sure you have a great time and see everything you want to see!!!
