The path to the ancient monastery
We will meet in Tbilisi and head south-east towards the Georgian-Azerbaijani border. The only village that you will meet on the way to the monastery, as if making excuses because of its location in an arid area, is called Udabno (desert - in Georgian). On the way, you will see the natural landscape of the neighborhood - a waterless steppe that changes color depending on the season, ridges of bizarre "design" hills and the outlines of the Caucasus Mountains visible in the distance. After short stops for photographing at the salt lake and / or other places we like, we will arrive at the main destination - the monastery that still functions today.

Landscapes of the Gareja Desert This is a trip to a completely different Georgia: you will discover the stunning, unlike anything else, the nature of a real stone desert, where there is no water, and the grass turns yellow and becomes dry in the middle of summer. 5.00A nice Active monastery near the boarders on the hill , tasteful wines and Formation with colored Rocks. The boarders Are kept by a soldier as we can See from far on the way to the monastery.

3.00It was a fine journey with a sympatic guy but we dont saw the second monument and the guide wasn't in Italian as we booked. Nevertheless, he was good and pleasant.
