Day Kayaking at Southern Uros Islands This Uros Island kayaking Tour off the beaten path starts at 9:00 am, after an early hotel breakfast, you’re going to be picked up by our driver Demetrio then driven to Isla esteves kayak dock. Landscape nearby local port departure is impressive and beautiful. We’re mostly exited to wear personal floatation device, enter in the kayak and start paddling on the blue water of Lake Titicaca, right now! But not so fast if you’re a beginner your English speaking kayak guide is going to introduce you into elemental kayak paddling lessons, paddling techniques and more. You then will feel nature is all to us for exploring. Paddling speed is always at your own rhythm without any pressure. The place offers incredible views where High plateau sky and lake is one, blue water ways, green carpeted reeds (mostly in rainy seasons) and native birds living around in their natural habitat all this is amazing. We’re going to have a panoramic view of the Peninsula of Capachica and Chucuito Blue water endless acts like a natural border between Quechua speakers at Capachica and Aymara speaker people at Chucuito peninsula. Here Maria or Rocio welcomes us and invites us to visit his home (but sometimes the island is empty because he’s at his sons’ island at the main Uros islands) First impression will be how these islands would have been built? But, there is no need to imagine! Just let your guide explain you about their origin, history, way of life and more importantly how the islands are built while you’re having the snacks. As an extra relaxing trip you might ride on top of a traditional reed craft while it’s sailing on the lake (optional and upon previous request). Finally, we’ll be on the way back to Puno through the main water channel, this water way is used by motor boats going to Taquile and Amantani Islands after they visited the Uros floating island. We’ll have also extra time for exploring the main Uros Islands located at Wily River. Lunch is included, chich could be at maria house Lunch is based on grilled Chicken or Trout with vegetables. Now finally after exploring the Islands we’ll return to Puno and arrive to Isla Esteves. Here the driver will be ready and then you are taken to your hotel.

5.00We had an amazing time kayaking in lake Titicaca today. The kayak tour was well organized with ground transport to/from our hotel to the lake and it was just as described. Our guide was very friendly and we had a delicious lunch on a Uros island in between kayaking. My sister and I felt very safe and in good hands. The kayaking equipment was in very good shape. They were very communicative though whatsapp and were able to accommodate a later start time (we flew from Lima in the morning and couldn’t start until 10 am). I would recommend this tour if you want a fun, active way to explore the lake and Uros islands!

5.00If you want to get out of the crowd of tourists and look for a different trip to the Uros Islands, TITICACA WORLDWIDE is the best. We visited many places with the Kayak, Carlos the guide is very patient and has a lot of knowledge of the place, even the local guide of the Uros. The departure time was 7:00 but Carlos recommended that I leave at 9:00 since it was going to be clearer, and it was. If you go around noon, ask for the extra lunch, which is exquisite and with an unforgettable place. Recommended

We are looking for a tour that is not very touristy, Titicaca Worldwide recommended a tour that starts at 9:00 a.m. and we went kayaking on the south side and the lake looks very beautiful. After an hour and a half of kayaking we arrived at an island floating and that a very beautiful family was waiting for us, and the family taught us their culture (aymara), and we practiced weaving their handicrafts and then she prepared us a delicious trout dish, if you are a group of 4 or more you can contact by whatssap number and have a special rate for groups. highly recommend taking this tour.

This kayak tour half a day exceeded our expectations plus lunch on Uros Island, Mr. Demetrio picked us up from the hotel at 9:00am and we started kayaking at 9:30am, a quiet place to see birds and with little tourism, at Arriving at one of the islands our kayak guide was very intelligent in telling us about the customs and stories of the Uros islands, and after a while we had a trout dish for lunch that was very tasty, highly recommended to kayak and have lunch on the island of the UROS.

5.00my son and me had a great kayaking tour with Ronal on Lake Titicaca. The equipment is top and Ronal a super sympathetic guide who knows a lot about the lake and the surrounding area. The whole tour is very untouristic, even on the Floating Islands we made our lunch stop on an island where only we were. Without exception recommended!
