Escape bustling Amman for a day and discover one of Jordan’s ancient jewels, getting the chance to see different historical and religious sites on this private day tour. Visit the ancient town of Madaba, known for its mosaic, particularly its 6th-century mosaic map of the Holy Land in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George.
Climb up to Mount Nebo, an essential Judeo-Christian pilgrimage site, where Prophet Moses first viewed the Promised Land and is said to have died there. And indulge in a scenic view of the Holy Land and the Jordan River Valley from the summit.
Continue to the Baptism site of Jesus Christ, known as ‘Maghtas’ in Arabic, which is considered one of the three holiest sites of Christianity. It is the place where John baptized Jesus Christ.

Madaba Mosaic Map
Departure is from Amman. After pick up from your hotel, hop into a climate-controlled vehicle with a private English-speaking driver and Wi-Fi on board. Observe and gaze at Jordan’s desert landscapes as you travel south to Madaba. The driver will assist you with places of interest and provide specific information along the route; however, they will not act as a guide. Upon arrival, discover this ancient mosaic town with a history spanning back to the 2nd century. The most well-known is the mosaic map of Jordan and the Holy Land of the 6th century in the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George, marked with points related to historical stories mentioned in the bible.
This 19th-century Roman Catholic church offers a unique attraction: you can climb its bell tower for a panoramic view of the city of Madaba.

5.00The tour was wonderful, visited Citadel, Román theatre and king Abdullah blue mis que. Then allá the way to Madaba city : St George, st John churches, everything was amazing historial sites, finally to Mount nebo. Bandera was amazing, polite and informative Generous and profesional drivers. I recommend R & H vip transporte, and Bandera to be tour guide

5.00Shadi our driver gave us five star private tour service! He’s a wealth of knowledge and adjusted our tour due to the weather and it didn’t take away from the experience of all the wonderful events for the day. I definitely would suggest this tour and all the locations were worth seeing!

5.00Bader was our guide in this experience, because he speaks several languages and we could converse in Spanish, his treatment was very friendly and pleasant as he knows very well the tourist sites we visited. You should take this tour because you tour sites of great historical importance accompanied by local people who guide and help you along the way. Bader is friendly, very helpful and empathetic which makes the experience more pleasant.

5.00We had an appointment with our driver for 9 a.m. Mahmoud Awad was super punctual and was already waiting for us. With him we had a wonderful and informative day trip to Madaba , Mount Nebo and the baptismal font on the Jordan River. Mahmoud gets an extra 5 stars where we were in the best hands.
