Manasija Monastery

You will be impressed by the beautiful scenery, while you enjoy 1.5-hour drive to our first stop – Manasija Monastery, located among the green hills of the vivid Resava gorge. It was built in early 15th century during the reign of Despot Stefan Lazarevic. The whole complex is surrounded by 12 towers, constructed in order to protect Church of Saint Trinity from the Ottomans. The Manasija monastery fortification, with its ramparts and towers, is the best preserved fortification complex on the territory of medieval Serbia. Due to its fresco paintings, which represent one of the greatest achievements of the medieval Serbian art, monastery is believed to be a real jewel of Serbian medieval culture.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Jelena the guide and Laza the driver were both excellent. I felt like travelling with family members, very enjoyable. They provide on board WiFi, umbrella, water. The sites were amazing. I highly recommend this tour with these two lovely people.

We had a wonderful day trip with Serbia inspired tours. Nina was our guide and was very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. She told us many interesting facts about Serbia and its history. We saw many picturesque places and enjoyed tasty lunch in local restaurant. Zive, our driver provided safe and smooth drive from Belgrade and back. They also let us taste the local rakija and we also received glasses as a souvenir, which was a very nice gesture. We enjoyed the whole trip a lot and can recommend this company for 100%! Thank you for a wonderful day!

This trip was one of the highlights of a two week vacation! Our guide, Nina was extremely enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and just a whole lot of fun to be with. Our driver Milan introduced us to the pleasure and medicinal benefits of Rakija. The itinerary included a fantastic monastery, unbelievable caves, a waterfall, trout filled ponds and a fantastic meal. I would highly recommend it to anybody spending time in this area.

This is a fantastic trip with 4 worthwhile stops. Each stop is different offering a nice mix of historic structures and natural beauty. Our guide on the journey was the knowledgeable and energetic Miroslav who kept the bus entertained at each location and during the stretches of driving which were expertly handled by Zile. It's a solid trip that I wish I could take again for the first time.

This tour offers breathtaking views of the Serbian countryside (hiking to a waterfall, a cave, trout farms, and several river gorges) that will be hard to forget. Our tour guide, Miroslav, was one of the nicest and most knowledgeable tour guides I’ve ever interacted with. He was extremely accommodating and gave us amazing recommendations for food and other sites to see in Belgrade. The food was spectacular, and all the locals at the villages were very friendly as well. I would definitely recommend this tour if you’re a nature lover and want to experience a serene, traditionally Slavic setting that gives you so much insights that contrast the typical European city bustle.

This experience was an amazing all day trek. Wear comfortable shoes! Our guides, Nina and Melan were AMAZING! Such amazing personalities, held a TON of incredible information and were kind and funny! They both deserve raises!

A WONDERFULL Trip that was even upgraded by the VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE GUIDE named Jyelena. In addition to HER EXPLANATIONS and DATA, she created a very good atmosphere among the group members. Dont miss joining a trip with Jyelena. The driver named MILAN was PROFESSIONAL and helpfull. The Rakia he produces tastes great.
