Manasija Monastery
You will be impressed by the beautiful scenery, while you enjoy 1.5-hour drive to our first stop – Manasija Monastery, located among the green hills of the vivid Resava gorge. It was built in early 15th century during the reign of Despot Stefan Lazarevic. The whole complex is surrounded by 12 towers, constructed in order to protect Church of Saint Trinity from the Ottomans. The Manasija monastery fortification, with its ramparts and towers, is the best preserved fortification complex on the territory of medieval Serbia. Due to its fresco paintings, which represent one of the greatest achievements of the medieval Serbian art, monastery is believed to be a real jewel of Serbian medieval culture.

5.00We had an incredible tour with Nina — easily the best tour guide we’ve had on our entire trip so far. She honestly ruined every other tour for us because nobody else could compete with the experience she gave us! Nina was attentive, energetic, and exceptionally knowledgeable. She shared so much interesting and fun information throughout the tour and kept the group engaged the entire time with her lively personality and great energy. She constantly went the extra mile to make sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying themselves, even offering us water and taking great care of the group. What really stood out was how thoughtful and attentive she was throughout the experience. She took us to some truly beautiful spots, made everything feel effortless, and created such a fun and welcoming atmosphere. You could tell she genuinely cared about giving us the best possible experience. This was easily one of the best tours we’ve done, and Nina set an incredibly high standard. Highly, highly recommended!

5.00We did 4 tours with Serbia Inspired. 2 small group tours: Eastern Gems of Serbia Tour and Blue Danube: Iron Gate National Park Tour with 1-hour speedboat + 2 viewpoints; and 2 private tours: North Serbian private tour, Belgrade Private Grand City Walking Tour. Each one was fantastic! They were informative, fun and interesting. Nina was our tour guide for 3 tours and Jelena was our tour guide for 1 tour. Milan was our driver for all four tours. Nina, Jelena, and Milan made everyone in the group feel special! These folks were so interesting and shared such good information on Serbia and the specific sites we visited. The tours also had the right balance of site seeing and time to explore the site separately. Everything was just perfect and that is so rare!

5.00This tour was so much better than expected. Miroslav was an excellent tour guide that kept us very informed on the history of each location. We were lucky to be the only ones at each site, which made taking pictures so much easier and quicker. Each site was beautiful to experience. Ljubisa was also a great driver and got us back into the city in a reasonable time. The car also supplied us with free WiFi and water! Highly recommend this easy, but sweet tour!

5.00Excellent tour with a great balance of history and nature. It honestly made us wish we had more time to take more tours outside Belgrade and see more of Serbia. We had Ljubisa as our driver and Nina as our guide. Both were lovely, and Nina was incredibly knowledgeable and energetic. We were also lucky to have a great group of fellow tourists, which really added to the experience. We learned a lot about Serbia and the history of Yugoslavia, enough to impress a few people at the wedding we attended the next day (which is what brought us to Belgrade in the first place!) :D Hvala for sharing a bit of Serbia with us!

5.00Jelena was an amazing guide, spoke English very well and was very knowledgeable on the topic at hand without becoming boring! Eastern Serbia was so pretty wonderful scenery. Lazar drove us safely around the small country roads. Will definitely book with Serbia Inspired Tours next time I visit Belgrade.
