This is a group priced private tour allows 3 maximum, 280 USD per group not per adult,
This is an extention tour of Dazu Rock Carvings. Most tour products offer only one site called Baoding, this extention tour covers both 2 sites in Dazu-Baoding and Beishan. Beishan site is less known for it's kind of isolated, and most tour companies would cut it off for lower price, plus most local guides were not trained for this site.
Beishan is a learning site fits those peace and quietness seekers, cultural historical learners. This tour also offers a chance to experience amazing country view and folk custom, going through culture+history+country view+special local cuisine within just one day, and a right guide helping around, this is absolutely a smart choice in Chongqing City.
You also need a friendly and sophisticated guide and a safe driver to do critical help, a driver-guide who knows both Chinese culture and how to do a safe, joyful and professional guiding job will be your choice.

Baoding Mountain Carved Stone
We pick up our travelers in their hotels then drive to Dazu County. Enjoy a roughly 2 hours ride through the country side of Chongqing then get to Baoding site, the major part of Dazu Carvings. Dazu rock carvings is a massive ancient Buddhsim stone carving was built in Song dynasty, 800 years old. Over 10'000 statues were carved on vertical cliff, pretty much represents Chinese ancient religious art style and carving skill. Meawhile it's also functions like a Buddhism institute and holy site bring prayers and redemption to all Buddists. In 1999 Dazu Rock Carvings were inscribed on World Heritage List by UNESCO. 5.00Enjoyed our tour very much! Legend is very knowledgeable and keen on sharing all about the history of the Dazu rock carvings. The lunch spot was great, with locally sourced ingredients, and since we weren't really into the hot pot meat, we had tofu instead - equally tasty! We plan on visiting China again and will definitely be booking a tour with Legends once more!

5.00Excellent excursion and guide. The explanation and details provided by the guide enriched the visit of cultural value. The sculptures carved in stones are very interesting and are preserved despite the time. The guide included a delicious and healthy traditional meal with a local family. I highly recommend the excursion.

5.00We were lucky to have Legend as our driver-guide again for this tour. Dazu has magnificent carvings, which we appreciated all the more because of Legend’s deep knowledge of Buddhism and local history. Lunch was again very tasty - this time it was a local fish hotpot. Definitely would recommend.

5.00Legend was extremely knowledgeable and gave us a fantastic experience of the Dazu Rock Carvings. He took us through a secret path to avoid queues and tourist traps. The car we were driven in was quite comfortable. As for the lunch, we went to a small family owned place and tried hot pot for the first time.

5.00Legend is a great tour guide who drove us safely to Dazu to see the rock carvings at Baoding and Beishan. He kindly explained to us the history and meaning for the shrines. For lunch, we ate suen cai yu (酸菜鱼) at a local restaurant. It was really filling and delicious 🤤 You can count on Legend for a great day! 👍

5.00Requires climbing. The carvings itself are phenomenal. Steeped in history, now a World Heritage site. Our tour guide, Legend Kung was forthcoming and helpful. I am a deaf man. Legend Kung typed painstakingly for me.

5.00Very good tour overall. Highly recommend Legend as your guide because he’s a direct, no non-sense, detailed guide who provides clear explanations of the carvings. You won’t feel rushed even though we went thru the carvings in a timely manner.
Dazu is a must see and we could not have found a better guide than Legend!

5.00Legend is a great tour guide. He contacted us in advance of the trip to confirm pick up details and arrived punctually with the car. On the way there he explained about the history and the cultural significance of the site and also answered all our questions about the local area including the agriculture and way of life in the local villages that we passed. We visited Baodingshan in the morning and spent about 2 hours there looking at the carvings and taking photographs. Legend is very knowledgeable about the history of the carvings and explained to us who and what the carvings represent and the themes they depict. It is a truly amazing place although pretty busy. We had the choice of where to go in the afternoon and chose to go to the much quieter site of Shimenshan, after a delicious lunch of local freshwater fish. Apart from us, there were only a couple of other visitors at the second site and we found it quiet and impressive. It is a much earlier site and also includes Taoist and Confucian statues. After spending 90 minutes or so at the site we drove back to Chongqing and were dropped off back at our hotel. We could not have found a better guide for the trip to Dazu and were very happy that we booked with Legend.
